My husband and I were planning on visiting Cinque Terre, but because of the high prices of the accommodation there we decided to stay in Levanto, just next door.
La Gerbera was perfect in so many ways! Its location is very convenient, few minutes walk to the train station (which is great if you are visiting Cinque Terre) and the centre of the old town and the beach. A supermarket was also very close.
But I think the best thing about this property is Doriana, the owner. She welcomed us so warmly, gave us great suggestions on hiking, visiting Cinque Terre, restaurants (which turned out to be amazing). She organised and cleaned our room every day, the room was always spotlessly clean! She cannot serve breakfast, but in your room you get a kettle to make tea and cappuccino and in a little fridge you will find yogurt, butter, water, little cream for tea and coffee. In addition you have biscuits and jams to enjoy. So I know this property says no breakfast but you do get some essentials to start off your day.
The room was very comfortable, great bed, dark with the shutters.
The bathroom has changing colourful lights as well as a normal lamp, we found this fun to play with and chose a different colour each time :)
Doriana was so sweet, even wished me happy birthday with a note, flowers from her garden and chocolate!...My husband and I were planning on visiting Cinque Terre, but because of the high prices of the accommodation there we decided to stay in Levanto, just next door.

Doriana was so sweet, even wished me happy birthday with a note, flowers from her garden and chocolate! That is going way beyond what's expected! I really appreciated this and made the birthday even more special :)
We arrived with a car so she offered us a permit that allowed us to park on the street, right in front of her property for free which was great as well!
I would definitely return to Levanto and to La Gerbera, thank you again Doriana for your amazing hospitality!More
