I have eaten at this restaurant a few times while staying in Ascea. We have tried the seafood appetizer and the meat appetizer, also once, specialities of the Cilento. Usually a fish for the second course, nicely cut and deboned. In addition I have enjoyed grilled eggplant and salad as side dishes. The atmosphere is pleasant with good service and the olive presses in the middle of the restaurant make an attractive "sculpture". The other reviews really say it all. A good place to spend and evening dining.

This is a nice place to dine. The decor is very catching and it has some romance to it, what spoils it is the big TV screen, but other guests may like it.
The macine, which are actually two big stone wheels used to mill and squeeze the olives to make oil, are in the middle of the floor and quite impressive.
The owner, seem to be a character and could come out of someItalian films of the 80s, though he seems to know his trade and was very helpful with the choice of menu. We left it in his hands to give us a selection of seafood appetizer (which would be already enough for a dinner) than we ordered a salt baked Seabass and grilled prawns. Everything was good but the appetizers were delicious, especially the deep fried blue-mussels and the octopus carpaccio.They also have meat or "land" appetizer and their specialty is the tasting appetizer menu "Mare e Monti" (Sea and Hills). Well we have definitively been happy with just the sea, but should we have the opportunity to come back we will try the hilly part.
Another curiosity, they have a fixed price of 30 Euro per person, which is ok (it included also wine and mineral water) though I was wandering if we would have ordered double the food (which would have been impossible to finish), would we have paid the same?

Off season in Ascea meant that most restaurants were not open so I don't have many to compare it to, but this was definitely the best restaurant I was in while there. Incredible dining room with historic olive oil presses etc. Upscale decor for Ascea, with prices to match. Food was excellent though: the salad of fennel with fresh orange was a surprise and very tasty.
