What a beautiful location overlooking the Mediterranean sea! Every room in this lovely house has a wonderful view of the sea below and is a great spot to watch the fishing and ferry boats, festival fireworks and the locals living their lives and making their way about town.
The apartment sits high on the main road to the west of Minori above the old fortifications which you can walk down through to obtain access to the sea (rocky). Great for snorkelling and within an easy swim (if you are a confident swimmer) of the main(course sandy) beach in the town. Other than that, you can access the beach by walking down a short stretch of the main road and taking the flight of stairs down into the town.
The apartment is very roomy - much bigger than shown in the photos. The top floor has a double room, twin room with adjoining balcony and large terrace and a bathroom. Downstairs there is a bathroom, a large living room, well equipped kitchen, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with balconies and another lovely terrace with dining table and chairs, lovely for sitting out at night and enjoying your meal with a bottle of the local wine!
In the town there are ample restaurants and bars and for a few euros, the ferry easily takes you to the next larger town of Maiori or to any one of the main tourist towns on the coast -Positano, Amalfi, Capri, or Salerno - plenty of options though you may have to take a local bus back if you are staying out late at night!
We also hired a car in Naples and there is a convenient private car park on the main road at the top of the stairs up from the apartment.
Maurizio was a fantastic host and made us very welcome. Grazie per tutti!
The location is amazing. Minori is a wonderful village, lots of wonderful restaurants and bars, a great beach and full of locals doing what locals do. Smaller number of tourists compared to its neighbours which makes it a great place to stay. Maurizio is a great host. Was there to meet and greet and to say farewell. Also helped with our bags up a steep hill. The apartment was just great, plenty of room, plenty of beds and a fantastic balcony with a view to die for. Would definitely recommend for a couple and families. And Minori was the find of our 3 week trip around Italy and France.
Our host Maurizzio has a good command odf the English language and provided us with lots of tourist pamphlets, ferry schedules, etc. The villa was spacious with an uncomplicated seaside charm. Every room opened on to a balcony or terrace with stunning views of the sea. The main terrace had a new table and chairs for 10 people and was fabulous place to congregate. Clothes washer was a bonus!
On the down side, the beds were much harder than any of us would have liked and we had consistent trouble opening the gate near the road.
Minori was a great jumping off point for visiting the Amalfi Coast. We would definitely recommend this villa to friends and family.
Everything was nice.
No air condition (but very fresh sea breeze) and wi-fi.
Be careful on the road serpentine - during driving or walking on along them.
We had a wonderful stay at the villa. It was clean and comfortable. Maurizio was a fabulous host, always willing to help out. Although we enjoyed walking to town for a coffee, a coffee maker would have been nice! I have already recommended this villa to family and friends.
