P&V have been promising to upgrade these apartments for years but with no action, at least for those given to the UK tour operators. They are very tired and could do with a really good make over, or even a decent clean. We had a smaller apartment "allocated" than booked and the reception staff were very unhelpful/rude and refused to help at all. There are also issues with security, with a number of recent break-ins to apartments, yet anyone can still walk into the apartment blocks, access the lifts to all floors etc. The apartments are saved by their excellent position so close to the piste, with a quiet chair for easy access in the morning without the queues of Meribel or Mottaret.

Room Tip: More comfortable master bed would have been helpful, ours dipped badly in the middle.

Well positioned close to the slopes and ski lift, although saying it’s ski in, ski out is stretching it a bit. Just possible to ski out, but skiing requires a short walk. The place was smaller than we thought it was going to be for 8 people (75 square metres, but seemed less), yet suited all our needs. Getting round the table was a squeeze and the kitchen area could only accommodate maximum 2 people at once. Had a few problems trying to get the French oven to work and the coffee machine exploded on day 1, creating a mess. Otherwise, no complaints and the staff were helpful and spoke English. Nice facilities - pool etc, although we didn’t use them. The burnt out property next door was a bit off putting!

In summary, basic yet perfectly adequate for purpose.

We stayed in apartment D 4 17 during half-term and were also robbed. Same thing as a previous post, where they stole only money, and left c/cards, ipads, computers and passports. They went through all our wallets, which were all in the main sitting room. It either occured during the night, or possibly in the evening when we were getting ready. Annoyingly our friends and other people we spoke to had all been specifically told at check-in to double lock the door at all times, from the inside and leave the key in the door. We weren't told this, and so didn't have the key in the door. Plus our neighbours said they thought someone had tried to enter their appartment early one evening when you wouldn't necessarily lock yourself in, but they heard something and came towards the door and the person left. We contacted the police, and they said it was v rare. Reception just re-iterated that the apartment must be locked from the inside with the key in at all times. So be v careful. You don't realise but anyone can access the stairwell/lifts of the apartments. Apart from that the apartments were well laid out. Although we had an apartment for 6 people even though there was only 4 of us. One room didn't have a window or a door so definitely only works for 4 people. It's very much ski-in and ski out and the kitchen whilst small was well-equipped. There is a good bakery and spar in village, but only two restaurants so if you want nightlife then book Meribel Centre. Our teenagers tried out the spa, but said it was over-run with small kids so didn't go back.

Room Tip: If you want ski in/ski out ask for Chalet D.

I stayed in this residence in period 6-13th January, 2018 with family and friends, I booked 3 apartments in total for all of us.
It was pricey compared to the value of facility, service, also cleanness was poor...

But the most stressful was finding out that our apartment no.213 was broken into and robbed.
Once we came back from skiing, we found the doors of apartment opened, lock was damaged and after we looked through our things, money from wallets was taken.
Police was noted, they came for inspection. Also the Mrs Marie from reception was informed- she booked apart. for us.
The funniest thing was knowing that the thief was going through our stuff and not taking laptop, or speaker, or jewelry (which were on the tables in rooms) but only money from wallets. Also taking only euros but no dollars which were in wallet as well. Funny isn't it.
What we also concluded was that doors were not damaged or broken enough so someone could open them, we are sure that someone who had a key open it and simulated break into the apartment.
Police just noted everything and we gave our declaration and Mrs Marie was saying that, that day no cleaning stuff was in the hotel, just reception, technician and her self.
Finally, we just left without our money and with bad feeling about our stay in this residence and holiday in Meribel.
