We stayed here as a last minute booking for a wedding in Il de re, and while it isn't that far from town, it is quite secluded and you need a car or some sort of vehicle to get around.

While we didn't use the facilities much at all, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and staff were very friendly with decent English.

Hidden away a GPS is essential to find this hotel. A pity there is no restaurant as a car is needed to find somewhere to eat. The pool and poolside areas are very good and the little terrace outside our room was great. Breakfast was just OK but at 15 euros was poor value.

Room Tip: OK but due to 'ecolabel' lighting was poor.

Hello and thank you for your opinion,
We are indeed on the edge of the classified site. Fortunately we have many signposting to find us easily.
If you find that breakfast at 15 euros is too expensive, remember that we also offer a breakfast "up late" (hot and cool drinks, and pastries) to 7.50 euros.
cordially

Hello and thank you for your opinion,
I am surprised because the pool had no closed season this summer? except the one time of rain early in the month ... and we our team did not used to be the nose on the computer when a guest comes to it ....

It's a nice place for a certain price. We paid 400 euro per night and I expect a certain level of quality. That was definitely not worth 400 euro per night. The shower is only one notch up from a student home shower. The facilities to accommodate 4 people in a 4 people room are inadequate. I would value the room max at 150-200 in a high season setting. The staff is very friendly and tries to make up for the Ebenezer Scrooge behavior of the owner.

Things I would have liked to know when booking the hotel:
- it costs 16 eur to cross the bridge to the island, hence it is not a good location if you want to experience anything other than the island itself. If you like us do not know the are that would have been nice to know when booking.
- the hotel is apparently Eco branded. The consequence is that you have no air conditioning, the rooms are not properly cleaned every day and you only have hot water for 20 minutes (not a lot for a family of four).
- the breakfast is extremely overpriced. The products presented are of good quality but the selection is more than limited. Coffee for an example is coffee, not espresso or anything else for that matter.
- if you want to use any of the facilities expected of a charlet (and the only reason to chose that over a hotel room), like a plate, glass or knife, you will be charged an additional 40 eur
- pay strictly adherence to the time slots were it is possible to buy something to eat. Two minutes over the advertised time of eight o'clock and you cannot buy anything other than a baguette.
- the wifi is more or less useless and the cell coverage at the location of the hotel is so bad that you cannot expect to be able to have a proper phone conversation other than if you are willing to do so outside of the room itself.
- the tourist tax imposed is 4 eur per night per adult.

On the positive side the staff is friendly and parking facilities are good.

All in all we did not have a four star experience. We book four or five star to be sure we will have a good nights sleep, that the comfort is high and that the basic facilities are good. Hided behind the Eco brand this hotel provided anything but a good night sleep or good comfort due to the lack of air-conditioning, hot water etc.

On a side note, do not in any way let you children run at the assigned paths onsite, as the material that they are made of will give severe abrasions if they fall.

That more or less sums up the first one star rating we have ever given..
