I've just spent a week in Luz Saint Sauveur. Mainly to hot and snow free to ski all the time. Fortunately staying in this Gîte was a pleasure and placed in a quiet cliff top position overlooking the village and canyoned river valley. If you like to spa then a quality one is on your doorstep (200m) however I prefer walking into town and luckily Napoleon III created a country route and bridge between the spa and the centre of Luz for his empress.
The Gîte complex appears to be of a superior quality to other accommodation in the area and allowed us flexibility in our activities, skiing, walking, cooking etc.
One negative would be the lack of a quality knife for cooking but positively the bedding and mattresses are of a super quality. I'll be going back next ski season.
Lovely clean, quiet, modern and comfortable accommodation, with all amenities required for stay. Very private. Good parking, good views, good location- out of town from Luz St Saveur but only a few minute drive to all facilities. Excellent location for a base for walking in Gvarnie, Cauterets and Pic de Midi. Would visit again
