I don't know where to start. Having all the privacy in the world but still feel cared for like in a hotel.... All rooms facing the ocean have sliding doors so even if your inside you fell like being right on the beach. Still lying in bed you can see the ocean, 2 minutes walk you can get fresh bread for breakfast from 7am - you even have the choice of a French bakery or a small Mauritian Supermarket where you can get everything you need. Butcher and wine shop are just next to the market. Across the road from Esplanade you can get fresh fish.
A nice gardener takes care of the property every morning so it looks all perfect every day, the manager helps you with any problem and makes almost everything possible - fishing, snorkeling, surfing, excursions.....
You can prepare your own meals in a good equipped kitchen - the room mates will do the cleaning and the dishes for you once a day, or you can go out and have dinner - there are 3 restaurants In walking distance I can recommend.
The room mates come once a day, clean the whole apartment, the bathrooms, make the beds and changes the bedsheets. They do very good job.
The best thing for me was the fact that I could put on my bikini in the morning and just take it off before going to bed in the evening. No dinner times, no dresscode, no makeup, just a relaxing holiday.
After enjoying the pool and the beach- all perfectly clean and nice, which you share with the other people on the property ,you always have the opportunity to go back onto your own terasse and enjoy privacy but still feel like being close to the ocean due to the balkony railing made out of glass.
Great apartment, very modern and came with all amenities, the only drawback was that we were in 2B, this was an upstairs unit at the back of the complex with no balcony, my understanding when booking was that we were in the front unit with a balcony, this was a slight issue with young children as we could not see them at the pool from the apartment. I would also suggest renting a car when booking as there a not an abundance of taxis in the area and it is a relatively long walk to the various supermarkets and restaurants in the area. If you travel in December make sure you book a car well in advance as we could not get any rental on the Island for the first 5 days of our vacation. I would also suggest that Esplanade get a few canoes, stand up paddle boards etc for the guests, as there is none available to rent on the beach.
