We chose this bed & breakfast for its proximity to Monticello and the University of Virginia. It is beautifully appointed on a lovely piece of ground with mature trees, a vineyard, beautiful sunset views. There is a lovely, private pool with fully appointed pool house. The furnishings are lovely as are the rocking chairs on the large front porch. The bedrooms and baths are fully equipped with all the amenities and beautiful furnishings. The library, dining room and parlor are perfect. Stefan and Desiree couldn't have been more accommodating. Stefan's breakfasts are out of this world -- his own garden vegetables and berries and an inventive menu. It's easy to get to from Charlottesville or from the D.C. area. It's in the middle of beautiful horse country. It was very peaceful and romantic. We wish Stefan and Desiree all best wishes in their endeavor. We hope to return. We also loved their beautiful and very well behaved dog, Willow.

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to review Woodville B&B. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again. You were a pleasure to have around. Willow really appreciated the snack you brought her from Scottsville.

Greeted by Stefan and Desiree at the door of their elegant, recently restored and beautiful house, we spent 12 hours in tranquil luxury amid the grounds and gardens and a newly planted vineyard. Stefan’s attention and kindness extended to an unexpected Happy Hour on the porch and we sat watching the sunset, fuelled by a selection of cheeses and 2 exceptional local wines. We occupied a top floor room and bathroom, richly furnished and very comfortable. With deep oriental rugs throughout on wooden floors this property has been made an extremely attractive place to stay and we only wish we could have stayed longer. First class cooked breakfast with home-grown fruit, locally sourced sausage, bacon and eggs rounded off a truly memorable visit. Stefan asked us to be truthful in feedback - we were unable to find fault. A pity we live 5000 miles away! An outstanding stay with exceptional hospitality, thank you Stefan and Desiree.

Room Tip: All good with air conditioning

This gem, one of the only Bed and Breakfasts located in the middle of Virginia wine country, was amazing. Desiree and Stephan just opened up three weeks ago after spending two years renovating this historic 1892 home. It has a lap pool and Stephan is a trained chef. There are little niceties like wine tasting, a library, hot tea in the evening. It’s just beautiful.

We live in Charlottesville and happened upon this B&B when needing to be out of our home for a few days due to a small renovation. Instead of trekking to a hotel we decided to head a bit out of town to take in some of our beautiful country side. When this new B&B popped up in our research we were intrigued and decided to give it a try. Not only were we not disappointed but we were totally charmed by the meticulously renovated 1892 estate and grounds. We spent most of our time on the large porch taking in the views of the mountains beyond the 2 acres of vineyards planted by the current owners. We also had full access to a beautiful pool surrounded by mature boxwoods and shaded by century old oak trees. Although we spent most of our time outdoors, owners Stefan and Deserie encouraged us to enjoy the interior spaces including a well stocked library with new, lovely upholstered furnishings. Our bedroom with en suite bath was well-appointed, quiet and very comfortable. To top it off, Stefan, a trained chef, cooked a delicious breakfast made with fresh ingredients from the garden along with local fruits, meats and cheeses. The property is a bit outside of town but an easy drive from Charlottesville. We plan to return.
