The hostess that greeted us did not provide a great first impression- she did not speak to us- we indicated two for a table and she sat us at a huge table right next to the front door- even though there were plenty of seats for smaller groups- she did not speak and just sat the menus down and walked away... Our waitress immediately saw us and assisted us with a new seat - and she immediately brought us waters and discussed the flight menu- she was great! We each had a flight- the stouts were really delicious. We had a quick bite- the hamburgers were good- very messy but good. We watched the kitchen closing up and they really cleaned the place- every crevice and surface- that was impressive! We'll be back next time we are in town..

This place is amazing. It is very large with lots of seating at big communal tables or tables for four. Service was so attentive. The beer is awesome, and there are so many varieties to try, plus brewery action in the back. And the food was delicious. We loved our pretzel bites and Parmesan fries appetizers. Then we followed up with the 40 Mile Philly and the Shrimp Po Boy--both were so good. Our little one really enjoyed the kid's mac and cheese, plus applesauce and a scoop of ice cream for dessert.

The coolest feature was the great play space for kids in the back of the restaurant. There was a little kitchen, a train table, a large chalkboard, and lots of toys for kids.

We stopped that Three Notch’d while visiting Charlottesville. It has a large, open and clean tasting room and a tented patio area. They have a large beer selection and a solid menu and the items we tried were great. The brewery is part of an industrial area just off of the downtown mall and is adjacent to a park with kid friendly artwork/play areas. There were food trucks parked there as well. Looked like a great spot to spend an afternoon.

This is a cavernous, fun and loud, one large open space does it all brew pub. And it does it all very well. An open kitchen and viewing windows into the brewery take up one side, while a large bar and scores of high tables with stools fill the rest of the space. Numerous, large screen TV's hang high above the floor ensuring everyone has a good view on game days. Plenty of outside seating is also available for those fine weather days soon to come.

There is a nice diverse beer menu which should draw beer aficionados back multiple times to check out new brews and work their way through the extensive offerings.

Locally sourced ingredients are touted in the kitchen and used creatively to redefine traditional tavern food and give it a delicious new spin. The menu does suggest certain beer pairings with some dishes, if that is of interest to you.

Stopped in try their beer while in the area for a meeting. The venue is very open and airy. I did not have any food but sampled most of their Ales. The beers were good overall - standout was their Minute Man IPA and a grapefruit double IPA.
Service was prompt and very informed in their beer option however it was a slow night so we did get some extra attention
