What a beautiful way to take a leisure stroll over the water. We enjoyed watching and talking to the fishermen and its so drop dead gorgeous....wind in your hair, water under your feet - glorious and FREE!! They have an icee stand so you can cool off, there are his/her bathrooms available. There is a great photo op with a "L O V E" sign where you can strike a pose. Just a nice place to visit. and the price is right. Not too many piers can you walk out on that don't want to charge admission.

My husband and I decided to check out this quaint town and beach. We were pleasantly surprised. A beautiful town, with loads of older, beautiful homes. The beaches were clean and the water was so warm and calm. Great for families with small children. Cute downtown, with lots of shops and places to eat. So glad we finally had some time to check out this gem on the Chesapeake Bay!

The Cape Charles public beach and pier were great. Good weather brought out a good sized crowd. Clean beach with calm water and a wide sand bar for knee-high walks for a long distance out. Western view for great unobstructed sunsets. Long meandering pier attracts some fishermen, dog walkers, families, and photographers. Close to parking on the street. Free of charge. Close access to public restrooms. Short walk from town.

The beach was absolutely beautiful, clean, white sands, boardwalks, gazebos, in close proximity of the restaurants, hotels, boutiques, etc.
