We went twice. First at night to eat. It was really beautiful with lights on everywhere! People out and about. Restaurants with outside seating. Music loud. It was a nice vibe. Went back during the day, it wasn't as nice. It was raining though, so not sure if it was because of that!

I was here a few years back and I can tell you that most of the same stores are still here; a good sign of retail health and stability. Great people watching here, from the locals to the tourists, to the demonstration at the top of the street in front of the Unitarian Universalist Church. There are outdoor dining spots associated with many of the restaurants, The local bookstore provides choices for whiling away a rainy day. The church clock tower chimes the hours. Both police and Park Rangers in evidence. You may have to walk a little from whatever parking you find; but you will have fun on Church Street.

Stopped here overnight on their way from Buffalo to Halifax. It was really well organized and about 120 vintage cars drove my the checkpoint and up Church Street. People could sit at outdoor tables or on benches and enjoy seeing the participants drive by in their cars. This such a pleasant place to hang out at any time of year but when a special event is organized and staged so well, it’s a real pleasure to see and of course it was free. I hope the Great Race considers returning soon.

Interesting downtown mall in heart of Burlington. Impressed with how crowded it was on a Sunday evening.
