Cabin Holiday Rental
We bought the cabin in June 2015 after falling in love with the area on our first trip in April 2015. During that trip we visited Zion National Park (it was like summer that day in April), came back to Duck Creek and had 5" of snow that night. We went to Bryce Canyon the next day and had snow again. The following day we went to Kanab to visit Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and had very nice spring/summer weather.....WE HAD ALL FOUR SEASONS IN ONE TRIP!!!! We loved it so much that we went back to look at property and bought our Pine Ridge Paradise! Our rates our high on this site as they charge us a large fee. FYI. You can find us in many other places. House for you is one - look it up. We have done a great deal of work on the cabin and the wooded lot. We installed new Envi High Efficiency whole room convection wall panel fanless heaters for the bedrooms and main living area. They are safe for children, slim and silent (no fan). Each bedroom and living area can be controlled separately. You may use the huge, wood-burning stove but you don't have too as the heaters are warm enough! 2 bedrooms each with NEW king beds and bedding (nice new electric blankets too!) 1 large full bath with tub/shower combo in between both bedrooms (separate access to bathroom) NEW queen sofa sleeper in large main living area Even though the cabin can sleep up to 6, we really feel our cabin is great for 2-4 people maximum and prefer to keep it that way :) ** Full Kitchen including full size refrigerator, oven, microwave, portable dishwasher (needs to be attached to kitchen faucet to run). We do dishes by hand most the time. ** All NEW coffee maker, toaster, blender, large crock pot, plenty of dish ware, cookware, utensils and specialty cooking items too! **New full size direct vented microwave above oven/range (not in photos) **Jan 2021 - We have installed a new stainless/black stove/oven that is more versatile, better at cooking (not in photos yet) **55" Smart HDTV with Blue ray player and surround sound system. DISH satellite. **Huge, beautiful wood burning stove with blower in large living area (plenty of wood provided)....heats up the entire cabin very quickly! **Large deck with all new, high quality patio furniture and propane BBQ grill **Fire pit outside next to the cabin.....make s'mores, have a cocktail by the fire, look up and the stars! Plenty of chairs and space. **Garage under cabin for toy storage (ATV, OHV, bikes etc.) not quite large enough for a car/truck.....great to work on ATVs, snowmobiles, bikes etc. **Full size washer and dryer in garage **RV parking and plenty of space for vehicle parking. **VERY HIGH SPEED WiFi Internet **Plenty of games, books, puzzles, and area guide literature **All one level living Note: The cabin is very clean HOWEVER despite our best efforts to keep it clean; we do get cobwebs quickly (cleaning one day and webs the next). It is a cabin in the mountains! I rarely see spiders but I do see their webs. Wildlife abounds here.....plenty of deer, birds, chipmunks, squirrels, crazy gaggles of wild turkeys rumble around our lot and surrounding vacant lot before taking flight to roost in the trees in front of our deck! They look like lumbering, heavy planes trying to get a running start to fly! This small mountain town sits right off Highway 14 on Cedar Mountain in Dixie National Forrest and is a gateway to some amazing near by National Parks including Bryce Canyon and Zion Canyon. With highway 14 taking you east to Highway 89 you can virtually be to Zion to Bryce in just about an hour and escape the hectic park traffic nearby the parks. This Cedar Mountain town called Duck Creek is full of Pines, Cedar, and Aspen filled meadows that all has an abundance of wildlife. The local wildlife include; Mule Deer, Elk, Antelope, Black Bear, Cougar, Turkey, Grouse, and many other small game.

Southern Utah /National Park Vacation
Southern Utah can be remote but we loved this cabin location, nestled in the mountains surrounded by natural beauty and quietness. We flew into Las Vegas and it was a beautiful 3-4 hr drive to cabin. It served as a base location for us to visit Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef National Parks as well as Escalante Grand Staircase and Cedar Breaks. Our stay was comfortable, cozy and we found the cabin to be very clean, meeting our every expectation ! Jennifer and Matt have a very well cared for mountain home, amenities as stated in contract and description. Comfortable bed. Gracious hosts for sharing their home with others. Charming and perfect . We enjoyed the spacious back deck, the ambience, solitude and visits from the local wildlife. We plan to be return customers !

Beautiful place in the mountain!
What a wonderful way to spend a few days out of the Big City! The cabin was wonderful, quite, and very comfortable. We loved spending our time on the great deck! With all the humming birds, all the wild birds that grace us. We saw a beautiful blue jay! The deer were walking all over and very friendly. We also had wild turkeys that paid us a visit. The bed was to die for very, very comfy! Well stock with everything you would need and then some. The shower had great pressure! We would love to have a return visit next summer! It was every thing you advertised thank you very much! Wayne & Christie

Ideal cabin with wonderful views
This is a wonderful cabin with ample well appointed interior, extensive deck with impressive views, and accompanying seating area around the fire pit. Hard to improve on in terms of setting and quality of amenities.

Well stocked kitchen, beautiful deck and views
We enjoyed our stay at Duck Creek. Great location to tour Zion,Bryce, and cedars National Monument. Deer and turkeys roam the grounds, fire pit is a perfect setting for views and conversation. Outdoor deck is wonderfully spacious and user friendly. Good sized beds but bedrooms are a bit tight to store luggage and move around. 1/2 bath was inoperable during our stay and is outside the main living quarters. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils. Furnishings were tasteful and comfortable.

Perfection in the woods
Hummingbirds and deer greeted us in the morning. Loved the cabin - used it as a base for exploring Bryce and Zion which were easy to reach from here. Very comfortable and well furnished, not just your average rental. The area is amazing, 4wd helpful but not necessary in summer. Cozy blankets, comfy beds and a wood burning stove. Everything you could need, even boot dryers which we made use of after splashing through Zion's Narrows.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We hoped guests would continue to fill the hummingbird feeders with the sugar we provided. It's great you used the boot dryer too!

Delightful Mountain Retreat
This cabin was exactly as advertised and provided a terrific stay for my wife and I. It is beautifully situated in the mountains and a good distance from any large cities with the delightful town of Cedar City only about 25 miles away. The outside decks are perfect for stargazing at night or to enjoy a leisurely meal during the day, with one standard birdfeeder and one for hummingbirds providing some excellent sights. The ammenities for the cabin are terrific as well. Bring any food or toiletries that you personally want, but other than that anything you could possibly desire is provided. If you are desiring a quiet getaway in the mountains, then this cabin will perfectly suit your needs.

Mountain living with the luxuries of home.
I cannot say enough about this amazing cabin. We went for a weekender for our 1st anniversary. We were looking for something quiet, peaceful and in nature but not too rugged. This was the perfect choice. The cabin was welcoming and nicely furnished, making it a comfortable retreat after a long day of hiking. Breakfast on the deck with the humming birds and the faint chime of the church bells was the perfect way to start each day. The proximity to national parks and local lakes made the options endless for recreation. We spent a day hiking at Bryce Canyon and spent time at both Duck Creek and Navajo Lake. We rented ATVs at the village where you can also rent bikes or kayakes. Also located in the village was a convenience store, hardware store and cute shops. We cooked full meals in the completely stocked kitchen. And everything we could have needed was provided. The bedding was very comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets if needed. The large bathroom was full sized with tub and shower with very nice towels. We spent our nights either under the stars by the fire pit or next to the fire place. With wifi, Netflix and dish network we still felt connected when we wanted to be. We had all the comforts of home but with better views and less traffic. We loved every minute of it.

About the neighbourhood
Our fabulous Pine Ridge Paradise is on a dead end street providing privacy AND very little dust issues from cars and ATVs rushing by!!!! This can be a big issue in our area! The views of Duck Creek Village and the surrounding mountains are wonderful!
Getting around
Accessible year-round (we have rarely had to use four wheel drive). There are two ways (roads) to access the cabin from Duck Creek. I have an all wheel drive small SUV that has never had an issue......

How to get there
Accessible year-round (we do have to use four wheel drive often in the winter months). There are two ways (roads) to access the cabin from Duck Creek. The roads are gravel and can be a challenge in rainy or snowy weather. They are plowed in the winter but the plows can be slow to reach our street. We recommend at least 4 wheel drive during winter just in case you need it.
