When you go looking for an online menu, make sure you look at Tavern on the Lake. This is a fun, out of the way place to get burgers, catfish and the like. Service is not fast, but the food was piping hot and clearly the staff is working hard to provide great friendly service. Nice place to unwind after the week.

Things must have changed! The review I see are not in compliance with what is going on now. I have eaten there several times over the past few months and service has been excellent. The food it great. I have eaten the fish nearly every time, but last time I tried the new fish not so po boy, and oh my gosh...it is excellent!

This is my new go to place to eat and watch the water!

I hate to give a 2 but they really need to up their service. But the place has a unique setting on the bucolic shores of Lake Weatherford. The beer selection is pretty good-kinda spendy on craft/microbrews. The best deal is the bucket of domestics. The place might be worth a visit to sit on the patio to watch the boat launch (the only one on the lake) and the comings and going of the crappie house (crappie is a fish and not an indication of the condition). I was there for food but couldn't get waited on. Up the service and the ratings will improve.

It's Thursday. Heard there was live music at Shipwrecked bar and grill. Rahr was having a beer special. The Ranch 95.9, was having an event. Tried the Rahr Mango Chili, not bad. Beautiful evening. There was a solo artist playing guitar and hope they continue this.

The food is sub par and the service is too. Overpriced for sure.
The only thing they have going for them is the location.
