We ate here our first night in SPI. Our waitress was attentive without hovering. The combo basket was delicious. My husband ordered the mahi mahi a la carte as well as the grilled zucchini and creamed spinach. He said it was all delicious. This was by far our best meal while in South Padre.

As always this is our 1st stop when we get into SPI, the happy hour margaritas always hit the spot and the view is always perfect. This is not a cheap spot but the drinks are good, the seafood is fresh, the staff are friendly. What more do you want! If your looking for cheap eats and no view.... the island has lots of that elsewhere.

This cafe is tucked behind a motel, but is adjacent to the vegetated dunes. There is typically a good breeze. Tables are outdoors, and most are in a roofed area. The food is quite good. About the only negative is that it is small and you might have to wait a while for a table. Margaritas are reasonably priced, and pretty good.

Thank you so much! We’re delighted you enjoyed our beachside Cafe. If there’s a little bit of a wait for a table, we recommend leaving your name on the list, grabbing a margarita, and taking a short walk on the beach!

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We hope to see you again soon!

This place is overpriced, and I found out two days later that they charged a higher tip on my credit card than I had put on the receipt. I don’t think I would come back.

We remember this guest very well, and have had several telephone conversations with him over the past 72 hours. He called to question a credit card charge. He said he was charged $28 instead of $23. In this electronic age, it's very easy to retrieve this information so we accessed the batch and his credit card slip to ensure that only $23 was processed. It was. We didn't see any evidence of $28 being charged. We offered to send or email him copies of the screen shots with his transaction listed (so he could address this with his credit card company), but he didn't want it. Since the problem appears to be with his credit card company, he was going to call them. That was the last we heard until we saw this posting.

We tried to appease this customer. We take accusations of theft very seriously and investigate them immediately. We did not charge a higher tip, as he posted here. We've done everything we can to help him resolve his issue with his credit card company. While we're sorry he was disappointed,I don't know what else we could have done to appease him.

We appreciate being given the opportunity to present the facts and defend our reputation. Thank you.

Very good burgers and fries. Service was awesome! Drinks a very weak though. The main guy we saw everyday was always busy cleaning and running the birds off. Super friendly staff.

I’m very pleased you enjoyed our food and service, but I’m sorry you felt our drinks were weak. That is the first time in 12 years we’ve had that comment. But tastes vary and I’m so sorry your drink tasted weak. I do hope you’ll come back to give us another try!
