We stayed for one week all inclusive at this hotel and were not disappointed.
The whole hotel was in great condition and Had been completely refurbished recently.
The restaurant was great too, good food on all meals and seating both inside and out.
If I was to fault anything it would be the evening entertainment.
The drinks were typical for all inclusive.
Rooms were well furnished and comfortable. Well worth using if you are planning to go to the area.

There is nothing bad to say about this hotel. Simply great in all aspects. The food choice is big and everything taste great. The room and the overall service has been satisfactory.

The animation for the kids also well made! Even do it is not so close to the sea, there is a great shuttle service that in few minutes brings you way and back almost the entire day long.

I would definitely recommend it.

There's no doubt that this hotel is gorgeous to look at but behind the scenes the staff on Reception are rude and unhelpful which left us disappointed from day 1. On arrival we had a problem with our room and rather than offering us a solution we were told rather abruptly to come back in the morning.

The Dunas Lounge Bar was great, the staff were friendly and helpful. We tended to drink here rather than the Pool Bar in the evenings as the staff weren't so friendly and the entertainment was a bit hit and miss. The evenings are cold still so definitely take a cardigan/hoodie!

The Restaurant was great and the food was very tasty and moreish! Although, being a Vegetarian i found there wasn't a lot of variety and there wasn't much information about each dish. Had to ask the chef but with a slight language barrier i was still left uncertain as to what was in each meal - at one point i was told a meal was Vegetarian, as i sat to eat it i discovered there was fish in it! There doesn't seem to be much variety from day to day either - very samey. One major gripe about the Restaurant is that smoking is allowed on the tables whilst people are eating their food.... I'm as easy going as the next person but i found this to be disgusting, not just for us but for the staff working in the Restaurant. Surely, people can wait until AFTER their meal to have a cigarette... just a thought!

This hotel is very much catered for Germans as well - the staff speak German, the TV is in German apart from Sky News and all signs are in German and then English. Very little English is spoken here and we struggled again with the language barrier.

All in, the break was lovely and so was the hotel but would we return.... afraid not although each to their own! :)

Dear guest,

Thank you for choosing RIU Hotels & Resorts for your holidays and for taking the time to share your experience with us.

Since for RIU, gastronomy is one of the strong points of our establishment, we are glad to know that we were able to meet your taste. Normally, RIU hotels offer products suitable for vegans that our staff can point out, but complete menus are not always available due not all destinations have easy access to products who suits dietary needs. Therefore, we always encourage our guests with special dietary needs to inform when making the reservation and also beforehand the hotel reception, so that, on the day of your arrival, we have food with the right characteristics.

In accordance with the local law smoking is not permitted inside the hotel: guests may only smoke outdoors and RIU always complies with the local laws regarding this matter.

As a service-oriented hotel chain, we really appreciate your positive comments about our staff, but at the same time we were surprised to read your comments about the service at the pool bar. At RIU we take pride in our customer service as this is one of the key values of our company and staff is constantly trained to maintain optimal standards. For this reason, we will send your feedback to our management team in case these guidelines have not been adequately fulfilled at some point since for us every remark is helpful for ongoing and future staff training.

We sincerely hope that we will one day be able to welcome you back to our hotel and have a chance to demonstrate the high standards of guest service that are typical at our hotels.

With our best wishes we remain,

We have just returned from this hotel and found it excellent in all departments. The room was first class with two large twin beds and separate bathroom with walk in shower. New TV (although only BBC World and Sky News). Ample wardrobe space with sufficient hangers for once. The food was really good with varied choices and none of the buffet options ran out. Drinks were available 24 hours and although not recognised spirit brands, we could not really tell the difference. Beer was Amstel and wine was Canarian and quite acceptable. The pool was large with a ramped entrance good for older people and children. Plenty of sunbeds though you did have to be out about 7-30am to reserve a prime spot before the Europeans grabbed them!! No real policing policy as regards how long you could reserve. Staff in all areas were very friendly and helpful with none of the attitude prevalent in other European hotels. About 15 minutes walk to the beach, but don't recommend the nain beach as it makes Blackpool etc look like 5 star resort!!. Hotel has shuttle bus to and from beach. Couple of shopping areas relatively close by but get your haggling tongue out as very few items actually priced!
We would recommend this hotel to anyone

Stayed: March 2018
