What a great place to visit.
It only costs 2€ to get in, and you'll get a tourguide written your own language, so you'll get most of the sights.

We build and unique statues with different meanings. Even the kids enjoyed, cause they can run all over the place and climb and stuff.

Well worth of visiting.

Attended a wedding within the castle grounds , beautiful location. Set up perfectly and the views are amazing. Castle provides a perfect backdrop for a fairytale wedding

Worth a visit! Family of 4 we only paid 7 euro in and spent probably an hour roaming round. It's beautiful our children really enjoyed it and it tied in nicely as they've been learning about Christopher columbus at school.

Not a full day out but definitely worth a trip.

There is parking right outside or you can get the bus or a taxi.

There are toilets on site but no refreshments.

We lived here for two years, and left for eight. We are now back for a month, and ended our vacation with a trip to this castle. While not a TRUE castle, it gives a better impression of castle-living than the ruins of true castles in other parts of the country. Some people complained about closing during the early afternoon. EVERYTHING closes in the afternoon: shops, banks, grocery stores, construction activity, government offices... and monuments. This is Spain. The siesta is a way of life. Embrace the culture rather than trying to impose western timelines on their tried and true way of living. Anyway, this is a must-see for people who have a fascination with castles. You can see the entire thing in about an hour, but allow two for getting there and exploring.
