Happy to recommend. You need a car as is 10 km from nearest town of Le Bugue. Charming room, great breakfast, lovely surroundings with a pool at nice temperature. There is lots to do in this beautiful part of France
When we first saw Les Bressettes it evoked childhood memories of a cottage in the woods - a gingerbread house or the cottage where Hansel and Gretel ate their full of sweets and candy ! The reality is a beautiful setting , set in wonderful gardens surrounded by towering trees which in the dark can be quite spooky in a 'snuggle up in bed' type of way. I say this because we arrived very late ( the wee small hours ) when it was very very dark but as soon as the door opened our warm and friendly hosts ( Elizabeth and Malcolm ) were there to greet us with a freshly brewed cup of tea - they had indeed ' gone the extra mile for their guests by staying up so late for us . We had travelled from England by car and misakenly gone via Paris , which cost us 3 hours !!!! Avoid driving via Paris at all costs. Our hosts continued to go the extra mile ( not Kilometre ! ) for us as their guests from their wonderful breakfasts - to the cold beers and drinks by the pool to actually offering to dogsit our pooch while we went on a whole day excursion which excluded pets. Elizabeth and Malcolm could not do enough for us and instinctively knew when to have a chat and when to give us space for ourselves. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay so much so that we plan to return for two weeks next year by renting their Gite and inviting friends and family to share in all Les Bressetes and The Dordoyne has to offer.

Enjoyed a fantastic week in the Dordogne staying at Malcom and Elizabeth's. The house is charming and, despite being just off a road to Le Bugue, secluded and tranquil - an ideal base for exploring the area. Their hospitality was unwavering and being offered ice cold beers or wine after returning from days out was a really nice touch. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here. And they have a great swimming pool in the garden.
We chose to stay at Les Bressettes after reading previous reviews. They are all accurate. Elizabeth and Malcolm couldn't be more welcoming and helpful if they tried. Nothing was too much trouble. The pot of tea on arrival after our long trip down was so thoughtful. Breakfasts were fresh and varied. The ideas for places to visit, even to the point of marking them on a map for us. I could carry on, but it would be impossible to cover all of the small touches that add up to a great experience.

My husband and I have just returned from our first trip to France and it will certainly not be the last but only to stay at Les Bressettes. We arrived to a very warm and friendly greeting from Malcolm & Elizabeth into their adorable home in the most idyllic setting. Their knowledge of the surrounding area is second to none, they are so friendly, helpful and welcoming
without being intrusive which is what made your holiday so special. We will most definitely be visiting again with friends and or family, It is the perfect place to stay and explore the Dordogne region. It was so nice to return after a day sightseeing to chill by the pool and look forward to a beautiful evening meal made by Elizabeth & Malcolm.
We cannot recommend Les Bressettes enough.
Thank you Malcolm, Elizabeth and of course little Cassis.
