Located across from the fort and quite convenient for lunch. Good food at a good price. The Bermudian chowder was good but the salad was so so.

We were at Frog & Onion on Monday June 25th - not our first visit by any means. It was busy which was good to see as there were two cruise ships in. We were shown to a table very quickly and the waiter was very attentive. We ordered our lunches - we both had a Ploughman's . . . . this consisted of two types of cheese - not at room temperature so the Stilton was hard instead of soft, the bread was stale and the butter was oil. The pork pie was fridge cold and tasted like they used hamburger meat as opposed to pork - a shop bought pie would have been better ! Also came with apple, carrot, grapes, Branston pickle and soft pickled onions. We then decided on dessert and ordered one sticky toffee pudding and one apple crumble pie. The waiter later told us later that the apple crumble was not available and neither were the ice creams. So it was decided that we would both have sticky toffee pudding. BIG mistake as these were basically a chocolate sponge with custard and chocolate ice cream sauce - hmmm so where is the sticky toffee. We eventually were able to speak to the Manager (?!?) who basically wasn't concerned about our problem but insisted on telling us that the staff were aware they was no apple crumble - well we guessed that - there was no ice cream of any sort as they were having freezer issues - not our problem and insisted that the chocolate cake was sticky toffee, and then to top it all off he decided we needed to know about the legal issues he was having with the chef. All in all not the experience I am used to receiving at Frog & Onion.

The upside to all of this was we were able to have ice cream from the Hagen Daas shop in the Clock Tower - delish.

Great pub food and atmosphere serving great pub food. I had sausage and mash which was great. The World Cup
Was showing so good place to have some food and a drink whilst watching the football. My other half had the nachos which was huge and lots of other vegetarian options available. Great puddings too.

I recently revisited the frog and onion pub located in the Dockyard in Bermuda. The first tome I had the fish chowder. The fish was flacky and the broth was rich. This past visit my family joined me. We all had pub food and finished every bite. I had the sticky toffee pudding for desert and enjoyed every bite. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants an English pub experience .

Located in the Naval Dockyards, the pub largely caters to visiting tourists and is priced accordingly. The menu is very diverse, offering a great selection of pub grub. The homemade pies (the savory, not dessert variety) are excellent. They make their own beer, and the sampler (6 oz. pour of 6 different beers) is a bargain. This restaurant is worth the splurge, although I’d recommend sticking to the house pies and pub grub rather than the chef’s specialties.
