Jorge's rope swing is a great place to spent a couple hours. I went by kajak from Flores and tried the rope swing a couple times. The rope swing is great fun, but pay attention when releasing the rope. Some people got injured.
There are some drinks available, same as delicious nachos.

Kat and I hired two SUP’s from hotel Peten (on the water front) for 3hours. We paid 150q for both boards for the 3 hours. Great paddle over to San Marco and followed the coast around to Jorge’s. Paid out 10q and jumped, swung and swam for an hour. Can stay the night if you wish for 80q per night. Next time I go we would sleep over for the fun of it. Sun was shinning and water warm. Paddled back and then it was happy hour. Great day. Highly recommend.

We went with G-Adventures with our CEO, Hugo Meyen on the Mayan Encounter. We had an evening boat ride on the lake, with a stop at Jorge's Rope Swing. Almost everyone took a turn except for a couple of us less adventurous ones. Great stop on a beautiful rustic setting.

Myself and 7 friends stayed overnight at Jorge’s after having spent the day there. They fed us some amazing food and looked after us really well. The location is stunning and we all agreed that the night that we spent there was one of the highlights of all of our trips. Jorge and family are so welcoming- thank you for a truly unforgettable experience!

We stayed at Los Amigos and Jorge sent a boat round to pick us up. It was 40Qpp which included the 10Q entrance fee. We would ordinarily have kayaked or canoed across but I had an injury so we wanted the easy journey across.

I have to say our experience was very bad. When we arrived, there was a group of 10 or so loud local teenagers present. We think they were friends of Jorge's son. They used the rope swing almost the entire time we were there. When they were not using the swing, they were chatting loudly and watching videos on their phones which somewhat ruined the otherwise relaxed vibe of the hammock/seating area.

We ordered beer and nachos, in the hope that by the time we'd finished the large teenager group would have gone. After 2.5 hours, we decided to give up. It looked like the teenager group planned to spend the whole day there.

I think we were just unlucky. The rope swing itself is in a beautiful spot. If it had just been the 2 of us (which it would have been but for the teenager group) it could have been a real highlight. As it was, we spent the whole time there on our kindles and may as well have stayed at Los Amigos!

We have given 2 stars rather than 1 as the beer and nachos were good and Jorge did give an unprompted apology for the situation when he dropped us off in Flores.
