My partner and I were looking for a quiet, tucked away retreat for a few days in Dominica, off the beaten path and away from cruise ship crowds. We could not have been more pleased with Sian at Eden Heights.
We stayed in the hut higher on the hill, and were blown away by the views out over the mountainside, ocean and little islands. The hut is very basic - bamboo and wood frame, outdoor kitchen, outdoor toilet and shower (the lower hut has it all inclusive inside). However, Sian has magically transformed the space to be both beautiful and well stocked. There's even an outdoor lounge area to watch the sunset. The kitchen has everything you need, though do come prepared with either groceries or a car to drive down to Castle Bruce. The in-house breakfast was lovely and a great way to interact with the family and get all kinds of advice about the island.
Sian also went above and beyond to help us have a good time. She helped us get to Roseau, arranged a rental car, and gave us advice on itineraries we had under-prepared.
If you're looking for an all inclusive resort, this is not it. Be prepared for a "rustic" experience. However, we could not have asked for a better place to stay or better hosts. Simply stunning!More
