First of all it's FREE! It only takes about an hour to see everything they have. Also they have the biggest parking lot in Frdericksburg. Very educational and interesting about the early years of Fredericksburg. Be sure to bring your kids.

Interesting to read the history if the area. Lots of Pokestops along the way. Clean restrooms but not much shade available.

Stoped to do this free self-guided tour on our way out of town. Only took about 20 minutes to walk around. There is not a lot to look at it, but the one original structure and the few they reconstructed. While there did seem to be a lack of buildings, the extra signs posted telling about history of the fort really helped speak to the importance of the fort as well as why some of the structures were no longer standing.

Unexpected on our visit. There are some really great preserved and rebuilt buildings, and it is adjacent to the Texas Rangers memorial.

We had a couple of free hours while stopping in Fredericksburg TX and decided to tour this historic site. There is not much to see but there are a few buildings that are indicative of the time period and there are plaques placed around the grounds to provide details of the times.
