This located right next to Fort Martin Scott. (You can walk there). A tribute to the men who helped form the west and Texas for sure. There is still a lot to be done, but it is still worth your while to see what they have done so far. They have people there to explain everything and it is free.

There isn’t much to see right now due to fundraising still taking place to build the museum but the docents were retired Rangers and full of knowledge and fun facts. The bronze statues are amazing.

We stopped by the Texas Rangers Heritage Center and met with two of the volunteers. These gentlemen were full of information and my husband and I spent at least 1.5 hours talking to them. They are in the process of raising funds to build a 26,000 sq ft Heritage Center building. Currently there is an open air pavilion that can seat 500 guests and is climate controlled with restooms and a large catering kitchen. There is a magnificient statue commemorating the Texas Rangers along with a ring of honor, and the bell tower. The Texas Rangers Heritage Center is next door to Ft. Martin Scott.
