My hubby and i went on vacation to a little town of 900 people, in the Texas Hill Country, called Bandera, Texas...affectionately known as the "Cowboy Capital of the World". We ate at quite a few BBQ restaurants around the area, in our quest to find the best bbq ribs. We stopped in at Sid's, right in the middle od downtown Bandera. DELISH! So good that we ate there 2 days in a row!! The ribs were pork ribs. Half-rack fed both of us AND we had 1 rib left over! Only thing that was a bit disappointing was their cole slaw. It wasn't really bad...but it wasn't good either. Pretty bland. The ribs tho!!! Oh my, so tender, juicy and very little fat on them, if any at all! I hate fatty ribs! If you LOVE bbq'd pork ribs, you gotta give Sid's BBQ a try, you will not be dissappointed! The young lady that worked there both days we ate there was a doll, very nice & polite.

I alwayhs get BRISKET to go with green beans and sweet potato. Always a ''home run''. They have outdoor picnic tables under the canopy. Located in an old closed and converted gas station on Main Street. Noisy but unique.

The food tastes like liquid smoke so i am not sure what they do to the meat. it's not good at all, go to Busbee's instead down the road

Did family meal takeout, 3 meats & 3 sides for $25. Everything was good: chopped brisket, pulled pork, smoked turkey, sweet potato something. Don’t miss the sweet potato. Liked the take out, place was kind of small and greasy. Hands down best BBQ I have ever had!

Very nice transition from Gas Station to BBQ!
Picnic tables replace gas pumps.
BBQ sauce on your hands instead of oil and gas.
The bathroom is original and accessed outside on the side of the building.
The owner can be met if you're lucky-in the early part of the day..he is said to be a retired Navy man who served our country abroad. His name is Sid.
Ribs & Brisket are meaty and tender. Every sauce is home made and they are super!!
The Sweet Potato Casserole is better than the best pumpkin pie.
Pulled Pork was sold out by lunch time.
A local recommended this place over the other place down the street.
Sids is Super!!
