The cabin was very cozy, very clean and comfortable. It was very convenient, 15 min from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but in a quiet setting. The cabin is visited by the neigboor chickens and a wild rabbit and there are a lot of lighting bugs out in the evening. The garden is very nice. The view is great and the deck is a relaxing place for coffee in the morning.
The cabin was very big, 2 livingrooms, a deck, a screening porch.
The mattress of the king size bed is a little hard, my husband loved It and I didn't mind
Our trip was an absolute awesome experience and the cabin we rented made the experience even better. Beautiful and clean, the cleaning staff even left us a message welcoming us with little gifts. The owner of the cabin was extremely hospitable and actually lived in the my hometown. Thank you for such a great trip.
We booked this cabin for 3 nights on our first trip to the Smokey Mountains. It was a very nice cabin and very clean. We enjoyed the swing and loved sitting by the fire pit. Paul was very accomadating. The king bed was a bit firm and the pillows weren't the most comfy but other than that, it was perfect.
We were in the area picking up our son from college in Knoxville and decided to stay a couple of extra days and visit the national park. The cabin itself was beautiful and well taken care of. The pictures in the listing really do not do it justice. We loved the decks and the enclosed porch. The rooms were large and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything but there are no spices. Just be prepared and bring your own (matches too).
Paul was excellent at communicating with us. Unfortunately for us, we happened to be in the area when a wind storm hit the park. There were close to 100 mph winds and a fire in Gatlinburg that closed the national park for the entire time that we were there. We ended up at Wonderworks and then visited the nearby caverns. Not the national park but still fun. The park would have been kinder on our wallets.
The cabin lost power and Paul was very good at communicating with us and making sure that we had what we needed. A neighbor stopped by and saw we didn't have matches or candles, so she let us use some of hers. We were able to use the grill and spent the evening playing board games. The power came on later that evening.
I wish we would have had better weather. We would have loved to enjoy what this property had to offer. But, hey... no one can control that! We will be in the area again when our son returns to college. We would like to rent the adjoining house also and bring more family.
Thanks Paul for a great cabin and for being willing to answer my many questions!
