Having enjoyed the Dixie Stampede show several times, my wife, 16 yo daughter and myself were looking forward to seeing the new show. We'd also been to the Hatfield McCoy dinner show as well, excellent show and dinner. So, our expectations were high.....
Needless to say, we were quite disappointed. At the end of the show my wife leaned over and said "Is that it?"...I simple said "Yep".
Food was good, but so is Cracker Barrel. Fried chicken, ham, mac-n-cheese, creamy vegetable soup, sweet potato casserole, and peach turnover. It was good, but..
Now, the show. We saw the same show at a $15/each little circus that came through our home town a month ago. The acrobats, girls twirling on long ribbons, etc... even the rotating hamster wheel with a guy running around inside and outside of the wheel, the circus even had 2 guys on it at the same time. The show has absolutely nothing to do with a "Smoke Mountain Adventure"....semi entertaining, but not what we expected.
The price, at $55/each, plus tax, over $170 for the 3 of us ... Let's see, compared to the $15 circus and dinner at Cracker Barrel, it's double what it should be. My advice, go to the "Stampede" then "Hatfield McCoy" if you want a dinner show. Even the Comedy Barn is a better show, although dinner isn't served.
So, there it is, a poor attempt at doing the same show we've all seen before. Save your money...go elsewhere.
