This place was awesomely maintained and clean. It has everything you need to get away and relax. Grill on the back porch and hot tub as well. Pool table upstairs. This place is very nice, quiet and peaceful. Not far away from downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas. Definitely recommend this nice cabin and will definitely be back in the near future.
This was wonderful. Probably the most relaxed vacation we have had in years. Out in the woods, away from the hustle of the strip and where you can simply find
calmness. This is remote and just what we were looking for. There are a few other cabins so it isn't desolate, it's perfect for getting away.
The cabin is beautiful and homey. Full kitchen, including dishwasher, full fridge, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee pot, 2 jetted tubs, 2 showers, fireplace, cable tv, pool table... everything you need.
Living room is comfy and set up nicely. Master bedroom is huge! It does have its own jetted tub as well as a private bathroom with a shower. Full size washer and dryer are in the master bedroom. Upstairs is the pool table and second king size bed all in the open room. Bathroom upstairs has its own jetted tub and bathroom with a shower also.
But the deck!! Oh the views! The husband and I sat on the deck most of the time we were at the Cabin. It is set up very nicely. There are wooden rockers...kinda uncomfortable after sitting for a while (they are wood) but the patio table with the mesh patio chairs are a great alternative. Easily can sit a dozen people comfortably.
But the views...that's wonderful. We can see mountains for miles. I would bet it is even more beautiful in the fall and winter. We took a lot of photos from the deck! There is a hot tub for the cool nights. I did use it one night.
On July 29 there was a meteor shower. I sat on the deck, until about midnight, watching the shower. It was amazing how dark the sky was and full of stars. Stars you simply cannot see in town. Sitting in peace and quiet, watching the shooting stars go by is a memory I will hold forever.
Bears! In a week, we saw them twice! First morning we got up and looked out and two were walking by our cars in the parking area. The last day, two came back and tried to get into the trash. Well, we had the latch down and turned, but one bear had some experience and pawed and chewed enough to get it open. She took out the sack nicely and about 15 feet away in the trees proceeded to munch on our leftovers. Amazing! We really were skeptical that we'd see them...we were wrong! It was awesome, a mama bear and at least one of her babies. I'm sure there are more. So be wise when going outside and look around first!
The roads. Don't let it stop you. They, for flat-landers from Illinois, were a bit, um, surprising. After the 3rd time up and down, they were not bad at all. Stick to your side as there are a few blind turns, but don't expect any gravel on the side, there is no cushion so don't get too far over either. Paved, gravel, paved and then gravel. We have a Huyndai Santa Fe with a 4 cylinder and AWD and had no problems at all.
Overall, I would highly recommend this cabin. It is clean, well cared for and has all of the amenities you could need. Amy was very kind and helpful. Great experience.
Highly recomend. We just stayed for several days and loved it. Spacious, clean, private, and amazing view. The road up is pretty steep and part is gravel but we had no issues even with the rain in an escape. We will for sure stay again.
The cabin sleeps 6, but I can’t imagine 6people being able to sleep in it. EVERY NOISE is heard through the cabin as though it is right there. Very loud downstairs if anyone is upstairs walking, playing pool, anything. Needs hooks by the front door for jackets. The ‘hot tub ‘ was cold. I was told it needed to just heat up bc they refill it between guests. It didn’t heat up. We YouTubed it and got it working the next day. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure was nice and strong. TV does not work as a Tv upstairs- only for games. It is located very high in the mountain so I was glad we had a 4-wheel drive car. It has very steep drop offs all along the road to the cabin and very narrow path. Pretty views up there.
We had a great stay at Little Bear Paws. It's cozy and clean yet rustic enough to be very peaceful, and the view is stunning. We are already looking into booking our next stay.
