The restaurant is a family style place: when you arrive you will be seated at a large table with other parties, and once the table is full the food will start coming. We went for lunch. Sweet, unsweet tea, water and lemonade are included in the price and sit on pitchers on the table. Food is brought in large serving bowls and you pass around to the left. Lunch included fried chicken (no offense, similar to KFC), fried fish, stuffed shells (rumor has it the owners are Italian?) greens, hushpuppies, biscuits and white gravy, cornbread, corn pudding and a variety of cold salads. Dinner is slightly more $$ and includes an additional meat. Eat all you want. I am not that familiar with Southern comfort food and am somewhat picky but I found plenty to eat and like; it was all very good. Banana pudding for dessert was very good. Service is very basic, mostly dropping off the food and then checking to see if the bowls are empty and you need more. I found it more appetizing than many of the cafeteria style restaurants that promote Southern food and have them sitting in hot serving trays that are popular around Tennessee. Located just south of the airport it is convenient coming, going or almost wherever you stay.
