We loved the few days we spent at Bella Casa Blue in Halls Gap. Perfectly clean, all the facilities we could wish for, lovely personal touches - We were so comfortable we spent half the day "at home" instead of exploring the area!
Everything was as lovely as we remember from last time. Comfortable, cosy, clean, everything we needed and in a beautiful location. We'll definitely be back again!
What a location! Close to the main village but hidden away in a peaceful, quiet space with gorgeous views all around. We ate breakfast out on the back patio with the birds and mountain views, and enjoyed lunch out on the front patio watching the emus and kangaroos. It was wonderful to end the day in front of the fire when it got too dark to stare at the beautiful landscape, and the spa was just what we needed after a day full of steep mountain treks. We would absolutely go back again, on our own or with another couple (it's certainly big enough to share!) and would highly recommend Bella Casa Blue to anyone looking for a base for their Grampians getaway!
We stayed in this holiday rental for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon. It was such a find - perfectly located in Halls Gap for exploring the walks in the Grampians, as well as a spot of mini golf and wine tasting. It was incredibly spacious, clean and comfortable, with many homely touches. We really enjoyed the fire to keep the place warm in the evenings, and there was a plentiful supply of wood. The kitchen has everything you could need for self-catering. Great value. Couldn't have asked for anything more - thank you! We'll definitely be back.
This place is fantastic. We stayed there for 5 nights just after Easter and as all the other reviews have said, they truly have thought of everything. The beds were super comfy, big fluffy towels (and plenty of them!), a gorgeous spa bath complete with candles, a huge tv for those who want to watch a film and a separate seating area for those who want to play games or just sit and watch the log fire burn. Plenty of firewood available too which was a nice touch.
The kitchen has everything you might ever need including salt and pepper, some sauces, butter and a small milk so you don't need to dash out for that first cuppa after you arrive! There's a fabulous coffee machine too and coffee in the fridge ready which was nice as often you end up buying huge tins of this stuff only to use a tiny bit during your stay. Tea bags, sugar, washing up liquid and tablets for the dishwasher. Even baking paper already lining the pans for your morning bacon! Honestly, everything.
Location wise, it's a couple of hundred metres from the Cultural Centre so it was easy to wander over and pick up maps for our walks. Google told me it was 7 mins walk from the Indian restaurant and it's roughly half an hour walk into the main village, walking at a three year old's pace as we were!
Peter was friendly and attentive and clearly is very passionate about making people feel at home in his property.
Cockatoos visited the deck every afternoon which delighted the children and we saw more kangaroos and emus than we could shake a big stick at.
So yes, if you go to Halls Gap and are looking for somewhere delightful to come back to at the end of a long day hiking, stay here. If the weather isn't perfect for walking and you want somewhere to stay inside but feel like you're still on holiday, stay here. In fact, just stay here. Trust me :-)
