Excellent coffee and cake with great service. Very comfortable seating. The only thing that let it down for me was seeing a large amount of dirty glasses etc. piled up on the counter.

Called in for lunch after passing the Farm earlier in the day. Wondered why a lot of the cars had the Burns logo on them. Little did we know that Kidwelly is the home to Burns! Fantastic restaurant, great menu and brilliant food at a great price. We also got to weigh our dog and try out some dog coats on him after lunch. Highly recommend if you've got a dog (and even if you haven't!).

This site is run by a local vet, John Burns, who is often there at weekends. What is unusual is that the large site caters for children and dogs.
There is excellent parking that caters for disabled and children friendly parking plus much space for other cars
The play area is equipped with constructions for children to play in and on. The shop caters for them without increased charges. It is open in the summer months.
The main building is a shop for pet foods and equipment, leads etc and human foodstuffs.
In the ground floor there are well equipped toilets, including an excellent disabled room.
Opposite the entrance is the lift to the second floor.easy to use, but do not lean on the walls as they are not part of the lift.
The first floor has a large restaurant which serves well prepared food. Often at weekends there is a musician for entertainment.
The coffee bar is set out as a series of small four seat tables.
here you can enjoy good coffees as well as having bar type food.
We had filled baked potatoes with tuna mayo and cheese fillings and salad. These were prepared for us so there was a wait for their arrival. However, we drank our coffee and zero coke, so not a problem.
Our dog was allowed into the coffee room along with many other dogs, all well behaved. The rules for the dogs are simple, not on the furniture, no barking and no aggression. Made a great change from no dogs allowed.
We had a very enjoyable time as well as a good lunch. Cost was £15 which is not expensive.
With young children one could stay for many hours at minimal expense.

Thank Robert H
