We stayed 3 nights here in April 2015, over the Easter weekend. Large group consisting of 6 adults, 2 seniors, and one small child. We were split into two separate units-- both were gorgeous, clean, and very comfortable. It was a nice, relaxing break in the middle of a very busy holiday. We enjoyed walks around the property, and warm fires in the evening. If we ever are in the area again, we will most definitely stay here.

Just returned from a wonderful week at Family Holiday Cottages, Snowdonia National Park, Dolgellau, Wales. It was my fathers 60th and all of his sons and daughters families were there (total 18 adults and 5 children). The cottages were great, nice layouts and plenty of beds. Several were twins, but couples just pushed them together which worked well. The location is a fair way from machcythleth (15 mins drive) but this have it the peace and tranquillity that everyone wanted. The gardens were amazing and we had an incredible family bbq on the lawn, with plenty of room to eat, socialise and play games. Communication with Dan the owner was excellent and he also easily accommodated additional
Nights. The only improvements would be: pool cottage was cold. There were wall heaters and a very effective electric oil radiator but no open/wood burner like the other properties (this was surprising as there was wood provided for a fire, but this must have been replaced with an electic fake fire fan heater at some point. The only final
Thing was the kitchens were nice, with lovely China crockery, but some of the other bits like cooking utensils were sparse. What especially would have been wonderful was if the kitchen had some basic hospitality on arrival specifically tea, coffee milk etc... As in arrival we had to go straight out and buy stuff. Would gladly return.
Our party consisted of three sisters their mum and 9 children age ranging from 4 - 16 yrs old.
We stayed in The Hall, The Farmhouse and the Grove - using The Hall as our main base to meet and eat. The accomadation was perfect for us - open fires, amazing grounds which were safe for the kids to explore on their own, spacious sleeping areas and really well stocked cottages.
Hylene was really helpful at directing me in after a hideous 8 hour drive and was easily contactable.
We managed to all make it to the top of Snowdon on the Wednesday and amazingly there wasn't a cloud in the sky! We also visited the slate mines and took a steam train through the National Park.
Overall a brilliant break and amazing accomadation.Highly recommend
I spent a wonderful weekend at this place to celebrate my 40th Birthday. You couldn't find a location more beautiful than this. It's absolute heaven. Gorgeous garden and great for a large party as it's made up of smaller properties. Daniel the owner was extremely nice and helpful.
Love the venue, love this part of Wales. Go there if you really want to get away from it. It's magic!
