Description: We are a family of three award winning waterside restaurants in the beautiful towns of Menai Bridge, Criccieth & Llandudno, North Wales. Dylan's Criccieth is our second restaurant, found on the coast of Pen Llŷn | the Llŷn Peninsula, Gwynedd, a stone’s throw from the beach, within the iconic Art Deco styled Morannedd building. We count ourselves incredibly fortunate to be custodians of the building, welcoming our customers to this wonderful site every day. We have made this our mission, to celebrate the local produce, character & natural beauty of North Wales.

The bar service and drinks at this place are truly exceptional! The ambiance is vibrant, the staff is friendly especially Dyddgu, our server, and the drinks are top-notch (every sip was a delight). It's a must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates quality drinks and excellent service!

Hello there John, thank you very much for your review - we're SO glad you and your wife enjoyed your food so much.

Our wines are marked up very similarly to any other restaurant, but defined by the fact that we also sell a number of Welsh wines, which you won't find so easily on the high street, or in many other restaurants.

We hope very much you'll visit us again, and look forward to a future visit.

During a holiday to North Wales we had already eaten at the Llandudno and Menai restaurants, and as we had enjoyed those visits so much we decided to give this one a go. Once again we were not disappointed, excellent food and lovely location inside an art deco building only yards from the beach. Although we found the staff at the other 2 restaurants to be friendly and efficient we must give a special mention to our server Chloe, who although kept very busy was extremely attentive and friendly and checked with us a number of times to ensure we were enjoying our meal.

We were staying in Criccieth and decided on a meal at Dylans. We came around three years ago and had a good meal, but as it was around the time of Cvid, there were few people there. However, this time we arrived to find the place full! We did not have a reservation, but we were told that something would come up and we could have a seat at the bar in the meantime. We ordered drinks at the bar, and the young lady that served us was lovely and explained a few things about the different gins that had to offer. After around 10mins, Nathaniel, who might have been the Manager on the night, took us to a very nice table with a view of the bay.

We enjoyed olives and the calamari to start, then my wife had the mussels and i had the seafood linguine. Both were excellent, my linguine had mussels, prawns and lots of crab and was very tasty. Every member of staff that served us during the evening were helpful, polite and lovely and were a credit to the restaurant. Thank you for helping us to enjoy an excellent meal!

Had lunch a week ago as we wanted to try a new place. What a waste of time and money. Wasn't even going to waste my time doing a review, but changed my mind. My husband and I shared a starter of deep fried calamari. It arrived on a grubby wooden board which was long overdue a wash. A few cremated squid rings on a bed of chopped vegetables which were unrecognisable. All drizzled with some bright yellow gloop. Looked like someone had vomited on it. We both then had the Gambas Pil Pil. I regularly make this dish at home - plump prawns in a rich spicy tomato sauce. What we got was a few prawns swimming in a bowl of plain oil with a couple of shreds of chilli in it. Accompanied by a large pile of wilted leaves that looked like they had been recycled at least once, and a few paper thin slivers of cucumber. We picked out the prawns and everything else went back. Gross. Two glasses of wine cost just under £9 and £10 each. Shocking extortion. Total bill was £68. Not worth 68 pence.

Hello Caroleinwales.

We always appreciate constructive feedback, and are doing our best to salvage what constructive criticism we can from your review.

You describe our Salt & Pepper Calamari quite harshly, one of our most popular starters, served with peppers, onions, chilli & sriracha mayonnaise (on a bespoke, clean & sanitised wooden board) - it's difficult to respond to these remarks.

That said, we can help you identify the bright yellow goop which you describe as someone's 'vomit', as the siracha mayo, drizzled on top, which is also listed & described on the menu.

We're sorry that you didn't enjoy your food, and hope you at least enjoyed our friendly welcome & relaxed service, and perhaps a good view or two, given the improved weather of late.

We'll keep working hard on what we do, and hope that you find a place to eat which suits your tastes & expectations on your next trip.

Our best wishes,

-Team Criccieth
