We ate in the restaurant tonight and enjoyed a delicious meal served by the lovely Heledd. We chose four different meals which were served promptly and steaming hot.
The servings were generous but we tried hard not to leave much on our plates. We were sadly too full for sweets but those we saw being served to others looked yummy.

You won't go here for the views - it's adjacent to the rail station car park - but who cares - the food is excellent. Good menu with plenty of Vegetarian/Vegan/Gluten free choices. If you are a meat eater try the marinated Welsh Lamb Steak - it's superb. Seems to cater for all tastes, gets very busy (a clue in itself) and is also dog friendly. Can understand why it gets consistently high ratings on Tripadvisor. Will be going again when we visit the area.

Was recommended to go here by the owners of B&B we were staying at - and they weren't wrong!!.

It was busy when we got there, but were sat very quickly. After ordering the food, it arrived really quickly despite it being busy. The wait was worth it though as it was delicious (can especially recommend the Blue Burger - Stilton rather than Cheddar!!)

The staff were really helpful and were happy to engage in conversation despite it being busy.

For information - it is right next door to Cricceth Railway Station

Thank Mark B

There is plenty of evidence of a dramatic increase in people who want vegetarian/vegan/flexitarian options when dining out. The Castle has clearly recognised this and offered a good range of delicious options. More than this, they have done so by making these mainstream rather than the usual tokenistic gestures. The arrogant and condescending hospitality industry needs to wake up to this, to capitalise on a growing market. Well done The Castle. Your success is assured!

After walking for miles along the coastal path we were in need of food and a drink. The fish and chip shops were shut and we came across the castle inn. So we decided to stay and have a bite to eat. Good variety on menu and well done El for your friendliness and efficient service. We ordered a cloudy cider and it was really nice, ordered nachos as a starter and what a huge portion. Well worth the money for a starter for two to share. We decided on only ordering one meal which was the jumbo haddock with chips and mushy peas. Please beware .... this meal was massive !! How can one person eat some much food. It was one of the best meals we have eaten out for ages. The plate was hot, the chips were not greasy and the fish was white and tasty. Well done to all the staff involved. We were really impressed and will visit the castle inn again. I wish I had taken a picture just to show you that you get value for money. Oh and there were water bowls out for the dogs.
