Just returned from a family holiday at this property. The location is stunning. Absolutely stunning. We were blessed with a solid week of sunshine which doesn’t happen very often in Wales!
The property is difficult to find, situated on the Warren holiday park, it certainly lives up to it’s name. The directions sent to us didn’t quite get us there and it took half an hour of driving up and down and finally a call from the Tesco delivery man who knew the park and was wondering where we were. He was equipped with a map and was able to direct me to the chalet. I can’t thank him enough!
The chalet is perfectly positioned on the sea front with quite a few wooden steps down to the beach. The beach was very quiet. The sun shines on the decking all day. Plenty of outdoor furniture is provided making the days very comfortable in the sun. The large umbrella provided took 2 grown men to put up, it’s really heavy.
Inside the chalet beds were comfortable , plenty of seating in the living area. Nice and light and airy.
The shower in the main bathroom was just a trickle but found that there was a shower hose on the bath taps which would stretch to the shower holder so used that. The toilet seat needs tightening up.
We noticed in the write up that there was no mention of a washing machine in the property. Just to make sure I rang the agents. They went away to check and called me back later to say there wasn’t a washing machine. So we packed extra of everything and then found a washer and a dryer in a cupboard. Maybe they were hoping we wouldn’t find it?
Things you will need to bring, sharp kitchen knives, none stick frying pan, oven dishes, oven gloves, coat hangers unless you think 2 each is enough. Oh and toilet roll! There were 3 sheets left on the roll in the main bathroom when we arrived. The dishwasher cleans pots really well so long as you wash them all first. We were welcomed with a cupboard full of dirty pots!
There is a recycling area at the bottom of the road on the corner. You aren’t told about what to recycle and where. We figured it.
The hot tub was a nice addition but I thought it smelt a bit funny. We read up about what to do after you had used it and it talked about adding a cup full of some product to the water each time. There were loads of products in the cupboard that were for the hot tub and it wasn’t obvious which one it was talking about so we didn’t use it any more. The weather was so hot that we weren’t bothered about using it anyway.
The holiday park itself is superb. Fantastic quality. There is a small shop that sells a few bits and we used it most days to stock up on the Tesco shop.
So because of the little niggles the place lost a star but the whole experience of staying there was wonderful. The longer we were there the more the blunt knives and tea towel oven gloves didn’t matter. We would go back in a heartbeat.
