After reserving a table at half 3 in the after noon, for 5 people for 6:30 when we got there we found 4 old people sitting in are seats and had only just been served there meals. When I go to the bar they told me that one of the old women had shingles. And they asked to be moved tables. I left my number and know was not called to explain. One... she should not be out with shingles as it's highly contagious. Then we got asked to move tables which we had to do ourselves. 10 minutes later we were then asked to move again as community staff could not get through. We were then told our meals would be a 40 minute wait. 20 minutes after we were told gammon was not available so would have to choose again. Can't fault the poor girls they kept having to send out to apologise and they all got a tip. My tip is... don't go there cos locals get VIP. Poor

This pub is run by the local village volunteers and is very warm and welcoming. I stayed in one of the rooms with my partner and my 1 year old daughter. The room was very spacious and clean. Upon arrival we was promptly shown to our room. We then went into the bar where we enjoyed a really nice meal which was reasonably priced and the locals where great with my daughter as well which is always nice. The service was great from the start till the end. Would definitely recommend a stay in this beautiful pub.
