The Barn at Glangors is impossible to fault. Spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. We were given a very warm welcome by the owners Joy and Steve, who even came to fetch us from the local pub as we had lost out directions(you will not find this place without them!). The children were allowed free roam of the fields surrounding the cottage and barn, there is a large pond in the bottom field but access to the field is securely gated if you have little ones. Our kids loved feeding the horses in the top field who are very friendly and come running when they see people at the gate.
The location is truly beautiful and extremely quiet and peaceful. Aberaeron is about 20min drive and has most of the basic amenities such as small supermarket, cashpoint etc. It's also very nice for drink by the harbour on a sunny evening, and great for crab catching too. Penbryn beach, just south of New Quay is a little off the beaten track but all the better for it and well worth the extra effort to visit.
Overall this is a fantastic base for exploring a wonderful family holiday area.

We have had a most enjoyable week in this quaint and charming barn. The owners Joy and Steve are very welcoming. The weather was glorious, enabling us to get to know Joy's two characterful horses with great personalities, (Megan & Crystal) that grazed on the land. The barn was everything that we needed, exceptionally clean and most comfortable. Cooking facilities, well stocked cutlery and crockery and linen. Thank you Joy and Steve for your hospitality. Ewan & Kimberly :-)

An absolutely stunning cottage that has been magically restored yet filled with all the mod-cons that any family would need. It is set in wonderful surroundings with rolling fields galore and the added bonus of the friendly horses in your back yard.

Feel the daily stresses of life simply slip away....

“The perfect getaway for me and my dogs.”

This was my second visit to "Glangors" and it didn't disappoint. The owners Joy and Steve are very friendly and welcoming. The barn has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. It's warm and cosy with TV, DVD player, books and a few games to entertain in the evenings. I should imagine it's lovely to sit outside in Summer.
It is ideal for me as I have 3 well behaved border collies and I know they are safe with the fields to run in and no main road nearby.
It is a good base from which to explore the area of mid Wales. There are some stunning beaches nearby. I go out of season so that the dogs are able to go on all the beaches.
The Red Kite Centre at Nant Yr Arian is a must visit. Fantastic forest walks as well as the famous "Kites".
I can recommend the Chinese Takeaway in Llanon - the best I've ever had.
I will certainly be returning later this year. It is my perfect getaway.
