“Wonderful House in a Great Location”
Reviewed 15 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We have just returned from a great holiday at Penrhyn Barn. There were 9 of us and this property was a perfect size and layout, with plenty of bathrooms, powerful showers and super comfy beds. The location is wonderful with river and forest walks right from the door. Mic and Jackie are lovely hosts and we would definitely recommend it.

“Perfect in every way”
Reviewed 7 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This is our second stay at Penrhyn Barn. The barn is beautiful and spacious enough to cater for all three generations of our family plus our dog. The barn is down a long track on the owners farm so remote enough for a peaceful stay. There is enough space around the barn for the kids to ride their bike and play ball, our kids loved playing with Tess the owners collie. We particularly enjoyed messing around on the river which runs next to the barn and enjoyed the walk to the local pub in the evening. The owners Mick and Jacqui recommended some stunning local walks. If you love the great outdoors this is the perfect place.

“Beautiful and Peaceful longing to return”
Reviewed 2 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Where to start! Our visit to Penrhyn Barn was amazing. The fully renovated barn was beautiful. It was our first time to Wales and we were awestruck by the beautiful setting. It's so peaceful and serene there. The grounds are beautiful, the river was nice. The owner's Mic and Jacki were friendly and very helpful with their suggestions. Their dog Tess was so fun to have around. The barn is well appointed and tastefully decorated. There were 13 of us staying there ages 1-50's a mixture of friends and family we never felt like we were on top of each other. 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, plenty of linens and pillows. The kitchen was nice and had everything our large group needed. We were very impressed. We relaxed outdoors on their patio and walked the grounds. We took a very nice hike that Jacki recommended to a place that was very picturesque with a river running near it. The water was clean enough to drink from! (I can't remember the name though) The barn is a 1 hour drive from Tenby Beach and close to Llandovery for groceries, pubs and other shopping. I believe the train also stops there. There is a TV there but no internet access. If you need it the owner's home is a few steps away and they will let you connect. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of a big city and decompress in the countryside. This was truly my families highlight of our 3 week trip to Europe. We can't wait to go back.

“Excellent accommodation!”
Reviewed 23 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We stayed at Penrhyn Barn for a week with friends ranging from 1yr - 40+yrs. The barn was really comfortable, plenty of comfy chairs and lovely beds. Lots of room for us all and our 4 cars. The barn was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for an excellent week away. Outside there was lots of room to play and the farms very friendly dog and horses made a great addition. We would have liked to have had Wifi or some internet access as there is no phone reception but we all managed without it. Many of the local pubs and cafes had free wifi available. The views were stunning and at night the we watched shooting stars in a sky absolutely full of stars.

“Beautiful location, friendly owners, great accommodation !”
Reviewed 16 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We stayed for a week at Penrhyn Barn with our extended family, ages ranging from 5- 80 something!? We all had a fantastic week, it is a beautiful very well equipped barn conversion providing comfortable and extensive accommodation. Comfy beds, hot power showers, big dining table for family meals. The setting is stunning, on a farm beside the river Towey. Good local pubs, amazing walks and wildlife on your doorstep.
The lack of wifi turned out to be a bonus, our two gadget obsessed teenagers had a week of swimming in the river, walking and playing good old fashioned board games!
Mic and Jacqui could not have been more welcoming and helpful, and Tess the dog was a big hit!
