This was our first experience with a Stay Alfred. It was rather a mixed bag – I don’t think it was worth what we paid for it. All of the people I spoke with were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They got back to me when they said they would, and the instructions they sent for check-in and check-out arrived in a timely fashion and gave me exactly the information I needed. The location was wonderful – walking distance to almost anywhere we wanted to go. But ... the lobby floor was dirty and chipped with lots of leaves all over it, and the paint on the walls was all chipped up. Inside the apartment the dishwasher was falling out of the wall and needed repair. There was a large, comfortable living/dining/kitchen area, but there were crumbs all over the floor and the whole place needed a good dusting. Bulbs were dim and none of the 3-way bulbs actually worked on all three settings. There was only one towel in the kitchen and it had coffee grounds all over it. The information folder we had was for another property, so was not as helpful as it could have been. It said there would be foil, plastic wrap, dryer sheets, extra trash bags, extra light bulbs, extra soap & shampoo and bedding for the sofa bed available – but we found none of those. Water pressure wasn't great. The master bedroom was fine. It had a king size bed, a ceiling fan, TV, fireplace, dual sinks and lots of countertop space in the bath, soap and shampoo in the bath, and a closet big enough to sleep a family of four. But the biggest issue I had - and what almost earned this a 2-star rating - was the secondary bedroom. It was creepy – an interior room with no windows. How is this even allowed under safety codes? And it was TINY. There was barely enough room for a queen bed and a tiny night table that was about 6” wide. There was nothing on the walls, no place to put a suitcase and the closet was barely big enough for 6 or 7 hangers. The bathroom was almost the same size as the room, but had NO shelves or counter space, no soap or shampoo, no washcloths or hand towels (just 2 bath towels), and no bathmat. There were unpainted patches on the walls where a towel bar had apparently been replaced, and one of the two towel bars was inside the shower, where anything on it got soaked. The faucets were old and hard to operate. We finally slept on the couch in the living room because I couldn't get over the interior room, but had to use our coats for blankets since there were no extra sheets or blankets like the information book said there would be. I’m not eager to stay in a Stay Alfred again if this was representative of their properties.
We have stayed at Fiekder Square before.
This apartment (#305), was similar to the first (#301) - but we did prefer 301 as the second bedroom was more spacious.
Check in worked beautifully and we liked the security of the garage and the gym.
Plus, it’s always good to watch the games at Autozone Park - free - you always meet some locals and can share a beer!
A good apartment with all required facilities.
I would book again.
If you want three bedrooms; that apartment overlooks Autozone Park and is more light and airy.
Had a great stay in our 2-bedroom apartment. It was clean, spacious, and provided everything we needed. The pool was a nice amenity, and the gated parking garage kept the car safe and off the street. The location is excellent, just next to AutoZone Park and within walking distance of Beale Street. I highly recommend this apartment!
Close to centre of Town 2 big bedrooms and full size kitchen. This Apartment has Modern style with great art on the walls. If you going to the AutoZone Park to watch the Memphis Redbirds this would be the perfect place to stay.
Everything perfect. Perfect location near Broadway, perfect apartment, perfect management. Unfortunately, we got some stormy weather for one day but used for Country Hall of Fame.
