A first-floor flat, expensively fitted and furnished. Warm, quiet, secure, and centrally located. Spotlessly clean. We found it ideal for exploring the Borders and for train commutes to Edinburgh Fringe.
Absolutely everything needed was there - apart from (oddly) a casserole dish for oven cooking.
Judith, the house-keeper, was lovely.
A comprehensive Co-op supermarket is nearby, a v good butcher across the street, and a stunningly good fresh fish shop on the quayside ( DR Collin is the fish wholesaler for the port and they have the best retail shop I've ever seen, really!)
A good place to stay.
