“Lovely cottage and good amenities, pet friendly”
Reviewed 8 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Stayed here in May for 4 nights. The cottage was in a quiet street 2 minutes from loch Goil. Great base for walkers. The cottage was really comfortable. A total of 3 bedrooms, the one downstairs is small but would be great for someone with mobility problems as the bathroom is just next door. There is a shower and toilet upstairs too.
Having wi fi is brilliant as there was no phone signal at all.
The garden is enclosed, but the outdoor furniture was outdated and rusty, not worth using which is a shame as there has been god attention to detail in the living room and kitchen.
There is only a small shop selling minimal items, so we shopped in Asda superstore in Dumbarton on the way up. They supermarket does do home delivery to the cottage is your planning to stay for a week.

Please ensure you bring your own towels as they are not provided on this holiday.

A place that takes dogs is a godsend and it made such a difference to the enjoyment of the holiday both for humans and their pets.

“Good house in stunning part of Scotland”
Reviewed 13 May 2016 for a stay in October 2015

My husband and I stayed here for a week with our 2 young children. The house is nice, clean and reasonably well maintained on a quiet street. I have stayed in better equipped houses for cooking in but managed to make do with everything available. We put the washing machine, dryer and dishwasher to good use during the week. The living dining area is small but suitable for a family. 3 bedrooms (1 single downstairs & 2 upstairs) and 1 large bathroom (downstairs) as well as 1 smaller shower/toilet room upstairs. I think bed linen & towels would benefit from updating and the single bed in the master bedroom is only good for a young child as very uncomfortable.
Asda do deliver to the area so definitely worth it if you are there for any length of time.
Lochgoilhead is a stunning location with beautiful scenery & walks, local areas of interest within reasonable drive. Dry singe estate great for families.

Excellent location with the combination of remote tranquil walks and wilderness to busy pubs and activities. My elderly father enjoyed watching the wildlife and beautiful scenery. Both my children had a fun packed week; swimming in the near by leisure centre, walking, boating and exploring. The cottage is very well equipped and lacked nothing. I would advise you to take food, however the local shop has emergency supplies it is limited. There is an Asda 30mins drive away - amazing drive though!!

“Quiet and peaceful with lovely views”

Lovely house fully equipped with all the essentials apart from the dryer which unfortunately wasnt working. Nice comfy beds and all mod cons. The garden/decking could be improved on if one were intending to stay around the area a lot. Nice couple of pubs to visit and eat at locally. Beautiful scenery down by the Loch although watch out for the midges this time of year ! Would definitely recommend for a nice relaxing break.

“Fantastic Cottage”
Reviewed 18 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of May 2015.
Cottage is lovely and there was plenty of space for 4 adults, in fact there is room for 7 people!
The cottage was spotless and arrival instructions as described - very easy!
Inside the place is just wonderful. Its actually better than the pictures on Tripadvisor as they have purchased a new table and chairs and new sofas. The kitchen is plenty big enough and we had enough equipment things to cook dinner for two nights and a Sunday roast!
The village is lovely and its just a short walk to the local pub and post office. There is a pub at the entrance of the village called The Shore Inn which is very nice and the owners chatty and welcoming. The post office has enough items in case you forget something or alternatively there is a spa shop less than 5 minutes drive selling bits and bobs.
There is also a nice park at the back of the cottage where we went for a walk and saw red squirrels and other wildlife. If you follow it up, it takes you to the river at the top of Donich Park and you can walk easily back down to the cottage.
If you are looking to stay in Lochgoilhead this is the ideal place! Personally I wouldn't fancy some of the holiday parks across the other side of the loch when you can have this cosy house all to yourself on a quiet street :)
