“wonderful Long weekend”
Reviewed 18 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

The cottage was perfect for our needs and very pet friendly. Very well stocked cupboards and the most fantastic view from the lounge.

“Awesome Views”

The cottage was in a great location at the end of the Loch. Pub next door The Goil Inn very friendly and helpfull staff, good pub grub. Cottage had everything we needed was very quite and relaxing. Shared wi-fi/internet was a pain as we had to knock on the neighbour a couple of times to ask them to reboot the hub. Everything advertised in the advert was their in the cottage.

“Home from Home”
Reviewed 14 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Lochgoilhead is not a new destination for us and in fact we owned a caravan at Drimsynie for many years and have been back a number of times staying in the Hotel lodges. This time however we booked Armadale Cottage which is a 2 bedroom private holiday home situated in the perfect spot at the centre of the village with un-interrupted views down the Loch and across the road from the Goil Hotel. The weekend we were there the weather was great and we spent most of Saturday in the garden looking at the view and watching the world go by.
What you get booking a private house rather than a lodge is that it is some ones home and becomes yours for a week or weekend. The people who own Armadale must enjoy cooking because the book case is full of recipe books and the kitchen is very well stocked with every pot, pan, knife and gadget that will need, even a dishwasher. The bedrooms were spotlessly clean and the bathroom fully tiled with the most powerful shower I have ever been in, it certainly wakes you up in the morning. The house itself looks modern but was actually built in 1877 and was the old school, a picture of which can be seen in one of the books in the house which gives the history of Lochgoilhead.
This house was a great find and we will certainly be back again.

“Ideal cottage in an ideal location”
Reviewed 14 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

This well maintained little cottage is in a location which provides wonderful views of Lochgoil, it is sandwiched between the local shop & the Goil Inn , a few paces only to the pub, a few more steps takes you to the nearby Shore Inn another splendid venue if you want a nice meal or just a drink, again there are wonderful views from there.
Right outside of the cottage there is the start of many local walks if that activity takes your fancy.
The cottage itself is well equipped with constant hot water & central heating for the colder days, the kitchen has all the utensils the cook of the week will ever need.
There are two good bedrooms, one double & one twin, the bathroom has an excellent shower with good pressure, there is no bath, however this is no drawback as the shower is perfect.
No Wi Fi so what ? you are on holiday after all, enjoy the time away from the Wi Fi , mobile phones work perfectly well here and android type smart phones will receive & send all your Emails if you really must.
All in all it is safe to say this is a lovely cosy cottage well priced, in fact, probably the best there is in this village .
Highly recommended.
