“Wonderful Stay at Pine Cottage”

We had a wonderful time at Pine Cottage with our friends from Denmark. We found the cottage very clean and well fitted out. The area was very good with plenty to do close at hand. Killin is very nice with shops and good places to eat. There were also great walks along the old railway line. The welcome pack was great and the phone call to check we arrived ok and everything was fine was appreciated.

“Comfortable cottage great to go back to”
Reviewed 2 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Pine cottage has all the amenities needed and is very comfortable. The owners have thought of everything to make guests feel at home and welcome which is evident right from first walking through the door. It is well situated for visits around the region and local walks. Highly recommended.

“A PEACEFUL GETAWAY IN THE HEART OF SCOTLAND”
Reviewed 14 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We spent two weeks in this cozy and ‘feels-like-home’ cottage nestled in the very midst of Scottish glens, woods, and Munros. Secluded, yet a five-minute drive away from Killin with a Co-Op store, bars, restaurants and a wonderful football field (that our son particularly enjoyed), this cottage is an ideal base for exploring the best of Scotland (Loch Lomond and the Troussachs, Rob Roy’s grave, Loch Tay, Ben Lawers, Stirling Castle, Doune Castle, Perth and a whole lot more).
The cottage is a perfect place for nature and animal lovers. The feeder attracted squirrels and birds of all kinds including jays, blackbirds and woodpeckers. There were rabbits almost on our doorsteps, and a pack of deer could be spotted in the early morning.
Inside the cottage is very clean, well-equipped and nicely decorated. There are lots of maps and touring guides that we used when planning daily trips. There’s a nice collection of films on DVDs but we never had a chance to watch one, as there were so many things to see around. The sitting-room is quite spacious and there’s a log-burning stove that made our evening especially snug.
There was a welcome pack on our arrival with a bottle of red wine, shortbread biscuits, oatcakes, jam, and jellies.
We loved the cottage and would highly recommend it to friends and anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable getaway in Scotland.
