The house is huge; lovely décor and very well equipped, absolutely perfect for our stay. We have stayed in many holiday homes over the years, and can honestly say this was one we would love to come back to - often holiday homes feel quite sterile and impersonal, whilst Rannoch really did feel like a home from home, with many personal touches that just made us feel very welcome. As an added bonus the kitchen had everything you could possibly need (often sadly lacking in holiday rentals), plus shelves of books to read in those quiet moments, and a wonderful secluded garden that enjoyed the afternoon sun. Janina was a pleasure to deal with, and the location of the house is wonderful, both for walking to the pub and (almost as importantly!) the hills.

Rannoch is a comfortable, clean holiday let with all the detail and personal touches of home. There is so much space! There are 2 sitting rooms, one of which is part of the kitchen and always cosy thanks to the Rayburn which is always on. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms which makes life with a big family much easier. Everyone had their own space. The garden is vast and it was great to be able to walk to the local villages with great pubs and nice shops. Our 2 dogs were also welcome and the garden was safe for them to roam in. Would highly recommend this property.
I spent New Year at Rannoch with seven friends and had an absolutely fantastic time.
From first contact Janina was helpful and friendly. We were left a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine to find on arrival! Paying was simple through the TripAdvisor payment service.
The house is much larger than the pictures suggest with a huge garden which would be great in dry weather. Parking space for lots of cars off the road.
Kitchen extremely well stocked with utensils (but no pint glasses btw), a great aga style oven and electric options too, nice big dishwasher and large Belfast sink. Big fridge freezer with ice maker, really handy for a gathering.
Two flat screen TVs with basic channels and dvd players (you can plug an hdmi cable in if you want). In the lounge is a neat little solid fuel fire which heats the room quickly (there's central heating as well of course) and a full size grand piano (very handy for doing jigsaws on top of)
Dining room will just about seat 12 with a couple of folk on the piano stool.
The beds were very comfy and ours had an electric blanket. There was just one room that was a little small for a twin but still easily usable and the double rooms were huge. Although all rooms are en-suite the showers aren't fantastic, not bad because they're cheap but I think the water pressure for the property is quite low.
Decor is lovely with interesting pictures and photos.
Ipod docks and stereo in lounge and kitchen too which were ample for party music.
We will definitely consider Rannoch again in the future.
We stayed at Rannoch for a week in October and couldn't have asked for better. The house was beautiful, spacious, immaculate, well-equipped and the owners, who stay right next door, were very welcoming and helpful. We also got a box of chocolates and bottle of wine to welcome us, which was an unexpected treat! Would definitely recommend Rannoch, and Drymen, as the place to base your holiday in Loch Lomond National Park. 5 stars
An absolutely beautiful house. The pictures do NOT do it justice. In a lovely village.
Comfortable like your own home, every little thing has been thought of. A real credit to the landlady who had maintained it to an excellent standard. Truly worth seeing and staying in!
