Lovely, very old white-washed stone building. The Clachan Inn is the oldest registered licensed pub in Scotland (1734). It has a lot of character and warmth and we thought we’d give Scotland ONE last chance on their fish n’ chips. They did not disappoint and we had a terrific meal. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and classic pub. They also allowed us to take photos around the building as people were eating. It was raining out, so it felt even more cozy. Would visit again.

My husband and I stayed in Drymen and were looking forward to going to the Clachan Inn. We went on a Friday night and couldn’t get in. So called for reservations the next night.
We had the best meal! I had lasagne and my husband had steak. Both were delicious. We then had apple/plum pie dessert. We wished we had two of them! So GOOD!
I would highly recommend The Clachan Inn to visitors. It was a trip highlight.

We had a fennel currie pie and it was super. The inn is not really big but the staff makes up to wait for half an hour and the food is good.

We had drinks there after eating at another establishment. It was full. They have a TV to watch the matches. Good selection of draft beers. Had a nice hard cider too. It can get quite full, but conversation can still be had.
