“Superb, friendly, lovely views over the Bay. Just five min from Town Centre”

Second stay, this time with my extended family including two young granddaughters and two dogs. Made to feel very welcome including leaving out toys for the children to play with which they loved.

Our apartment was clean, comfortable and spacious with fabulous views across the bay as you take breakfast in the front room. Close to the main town but also perfect for Mount Stuart and the Victorian Fern Garden (both must visit and child friendly). Elaine will fill you in on best places to eat and visit. Definitely going back.

WiFi is available but you should be out and about enjoying this lovely island.

Bute describes itself as the Undiscovered Isle. Well, I hope it stays a bit like that. It may not have all the facilities and the main town looks a little tired but the scenery and beaches are wonderful. The people are so friendly and relaxed. If you have time, take the short ferry ride from the back of the island back to the mainland and drive up to Portavadie for lunch. Great holiday for younger children especially if you want to get their faces out of their mobilephones/tablets

“Beautiful apartment on a beautiful island”
Reviewed 31 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

The apartment is lovely, very spacious and well equipped. We spent an hour or so each evening just looking out of the bay window. It's very peaceful and ideal for families, plenty of space in each room for playing!
The island has a lot to offer, Mount Stuart is amazing! We walked along the shore on the white beach in the sunshine. Rothesay Castle very impressive also.
Just a lovely few days and would highly recommend

“Fantastic fantastic fantastic”
Reviewed 21 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Have just returned from a mid week break at these apartments. The owners were first class and gave us a warm welcome and showed us around the apartment. The apartment was very clean and spacious. There really was nothing missed out and after a bit of a journey it was so thoughtful of the owners to have placed tea coffee and milk in the kitchen for us, it really is all the small touches such as these that made our stay so relaxing and comfortable. The living room and kitchen are open plan with beautiful bay windows that look onto the garden and the firth of Clyde ahead. the kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a holiday stay. there is a dish washer (tabs provided) and a washing machine. One of the reasons we booked here is because it is advertised as dog friendly and it certainly is. The apartment is situated on a hill about a five min drive into the town of Rothesay and about a 15 min walk. The owners took the time to advise us of places to go and see. If you like wildlife its on your doorstep just look for the seals basking on the rocks to the south of the apartments near the Victorian Fernery. If you are a star gazer then head round to the other side of the island to Ettrick Bay (the dark side with little or no light pollution) The start are amazing and if you are really lucky like us you might catch sight of the aurora borealus or a solar eclipse. all in all this is one of the best holiday lets I've stayed in and would love to go back soon, its an ideal spot to stay and base yourself for exploring the islands many walks.
