“An excellent property in beautiful surroundings.”
Reviewed 28 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

The property was immaculately clean and we were made very welcome by the friendly hosts. The beach was only a short walk away as was an excellent bird hide.
Mount Stuart is a "must" as is St Blane's church.
The enclosed garden was ideal for our dog.

“Wonderful location”

Thanks to Lisa and Ian for a wonderful few days just wish it was a few more, one of the most genuine couples I've met and thanks to them and the tour of the farm especially the dogs it made it even more enjoyable, came home relaxed and already wanting to go back. As for the house itself I could not fault it in any way cosy, warm and comfortable.my 11 year old kara and glen the dog had an absolute ball. Thanks again for some lovely memories.

“A wonderful time had”
Reviewed 7 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Scalpsie farm was just lovely. Myself Clare and our daughter Elsy were joined by my brother and his wife.
Very clean and modern interiors with extra comfy beds and pillows that we all collapsed into at the end of the day part beautiful fresh air and part generous amounts of red ................
Ian and Lisa were charming and always on hand if needs be the working farm was enjoyable for Elsy and my cousins 4 year old who visited as they already live on the island.
Scalpsie bay being a short 500 yard stroll down the foot path through the farm land. Breathtaking views of Arron.
I would highly recommend and cannot wait to go back again.

“Great stay at Scalpsie Farm”

Best spot on the island by far! Friendly and welcoming hosts. Great accommodation: spacious, modern, immaculate, best beds ever! Very short walk to the beach, perfect location, fantastic views. Ten minutes drive from Rothesay, so you can even bring a takeaway back, or stay closer and have a cosy evening in the local pub. Family (and our dog Jack) enjoyed the changing livestock outside of the window, sheep one morning, cows the next, ducks and hens, kittens, dogs and a puppy, what more could you want? Loved it!

“Outstanding views”
Reviewed 7 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Scalpsie farm. The views from the house are quite magnificent. From the rolling hills down to the beach and on to the beautiful blue sea, it is in my opinion , perfect. The house is ideal for a holiday rental, excellent facilities with the hosts on hand to answer any queries. Lisa and Ian cannot do enough to help their guests. The farm is a working farm and there is no shortage of activity going on to keep my 2 year old boy entertained. All in all we had a memorable stay and cannot wait to go back.
