My fiance and I stayed here for one night. We quickly wished we had booked a few more nights. The area is beautiful being so close the water and all of the Northern sites of the island. The staff here was incredible. Most of them are younger but have the customer service skills of people who have been in the hospitality industry for several years. From the moment we checked in to our time in the bar waiting for our dinner reservations to the actual dinner itself, we were always greeted with a smile or a story or a suggestion for our travels. To top it off the food was amazing. Everything we had (dinner and breakfast) was delicious but if you like seafood you MUST try the Western Seafood Linguine. It may be the best thing I have ever eaten.

We are alraedy planning a trip back to Scotland and we will definitely be booking multiple nights at the Uig Hotel when we come back!

Myself and family had three rooms here the night before we sailed to the Isle of Harris. The rooms were lovely very clean and comfy. We ate in the bar area as our three dogs were with us. Our evening meal on the whole was very disappointing. I sent my starter back which was meant to be a cheese filled pastry parcel whose bottom had fallen out and there was no filling. How this got out the kitchen is quite unbelievable. It was sent back and the waitress was very apologetic. The scallops were over cooked and out of our mains the burger was extremely dry and tasteless. Overall very disappointing. Having had this experience we went to breakfast the following morning without too much expectation. The breakfast however was excellent, large and very tasty. It’s a shame our experience overall was tainted by the evening meal otherwise it was a great visit.

We had a very warm welcome at the reception. Clean and very modern room, comfy beds. The full Scottish breakfast was very good and large. I wasnt hungry until the evening. Great view of the harbour of Uig.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Old Pier cottage owned by the Uig Hotel. Our room was spacious as well as the fully modern bath. The view overlooking the water was spectacular. Our room included a cooked to order breakfast each morning and we especially enjoyed the omelets. We also ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was nicely presented and delicious. The Uig Hotel has the charm of a small, quaint hotel and the service to match.

Room Tip: Ask for the old Pier Cottage which would be perfect for 2 couples or a family.

We were travelling from Alston, Cumbria to the Outer Hebrides and camping in Uig while waiting for the morning ferry to Lochmaddy.

After a long and exhausting drive we were looking for somewhere to eat, we walked into the busy Uig Hotel without a booking and were given a window table with gorgeous views.

The service was excellent, the food was devine, so much so we immediately booked a table for our return trip a week later.
