Review of Seumas' Bar

Seumas' Bar
Ranked #1 of 2 Restaurants in Sligachan
Certificate of Excellence
Price range: US$0 - US$19
Description: Seumas' Bar is located underneath the mighty Cuillin Mountains, right in the heart of the Isle of Skye. We do not take our situation lightly and feel that a place so beautiful deserves a bar fitting it's location. We are passionate about whisky, music, food and the great outdoors. Our greatest passion, however, is to create an atmosphere and experience that is comfortable, enjoyable and memorable for every single person who chooses to walk through our doors.

Stopped in for dinner, kind of crowded, luckily got a table, food was pretty decent, and staff was attentive.

Sligachan is quite a location and what a shame there isn't somewhere more fitting to have a casual meal/drink.This is a dark barn of a place with, to me, no atmosphere and little by way of views. It's been done up but hasn't improved at all.Zero charm and often noisy with a pool table on the go as well.

I got back in from a long day of hiking the hills and was happy to find a table. The beer was cold and tasty. The service was normal for a busy place, and the wait staff was friendly.

Certainly better food than we expected at such a large tourist place. Very busy, but the waitress even bothered to offer water for our two dogs.
Would certainly return and hopefully will next time we visit.
Amazing setting. Worth a visit just for the scenery!!

Popped in here for a coffee and decided to stay for lunch too. Interesting building inside, with a high vaulted roof. Food, drink and service were OK - not bad, but not great either. Worth remembering that even if a staff member has just put a lunch menu on your table, if you try to order lunch at the bar at 11.55am, you will be sent back to your table with your menu to wait for 5 mins.
