Convenient location with free parking. Walking distance to centre of Portree.
Bedroom disappointing – not especially large, but very poor lighting so bring a torch for shaving and to see inside wardrobe. Recessed lights in very high ceiling in bathroom, not good for make-up or shaving.
No bedside tables. No shower gel or shampoo on arrival, delivery arrived on day 2.
Otherwise facilities in room good, almost everything you would expect.
Nice views from bedroom window.
Poor value, last year we stayed on Skye for less than half the price and received 80% of the quality. I have stayed in better for less in central London, I know Skye is expensive but this seems overpriced. The final shock was to find £105 added to the bill, above the price quoted at booking. After five minutes of discussion and searching through emails this was corrected.
The restaurant is very good, breakfasts and dinner were excellent. Staff are very helpful.
Nespresso machine in the room is a nice touch, fresh milk is available on request.
I was intrigued by the advertised “Bose Sound System” in the room. This is actually a small Bluetooth speaker, presumably there is some way to link to use it but there were no instructions and it was not obvious how to use.

Incredible! Beautiful room with all modern amenities and a wonderfully relaxing shower. Breakfast was superb as was the service and location. One can walk to the main square in a few minutes. We would gladly stay there again.

Driving through Portree you begin to feel, this place might be a bit special! Continue up the hill and you're at Marmalade-- and you might wonder, are you too far out of town?
Check in, walk up 3 flights (it's ok, they'll help with luggage if needed) and look out the window-- it's perfect!!!
If you're lucky enough to book the 3rd floor-do... if not, it's ok-- the entire place is great and no matter which room you're in, the walk down the hill to town is wonderful... and the town? You need to experience it...
The staff;
Susan the Manager is 2nd to none!!! thank you, thank you, thank you Susan...
Daan (that's how you spell it) at the front desk, is awesome-- if he suggests someplace to go, you're smart to listen!!!

Room Tip: Get one of the rooms on the 3rd floor if possible... Have breakfast there... Do yourself a favor and dine there once for dinner!

This was such a wonderful place to stay while visiting Scotland. The staff were very friendly and answered all our questions. Our room was fantastic! We had dinner in the restaurant and both of us had steaks that were prepared perfectly. Breakfast, you can order from the menu or have the buffet. It's an easy walk into town to pop into a pub. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again our next trip.

This Hotel is modern and chic. It sits slightly outside of the town centre but taxis are cheap and plentiful. Rooms are thoughtfully designed, but a fridge would be a plus, as others have mentioned. Staff friendly and welcoming and everyone seems to enjoy being there.
