Comfortable, friendly hotel with wonderful food (be warned the portions are not small). The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, the beer (their own) is excellent, and the situation is amazing.

We have had 2 meals here and both have been fantastic. The staff and the owner Katie are just lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The views from the bar are stunning, but get there bang on opening if you want your pick of the tables. Dogs are very welcome.
There is a choice of seven starters + 1 on the specials board. I can particularly recommend the boxty pancakes. There is a choice of 10 main courses + a couple of specials. The steak and ale pie is fabulous. The pudding menu is great, but you might be too full due to the size of the portions.
Gem of a pub and if you’re in the are a ‘must’ for a meal.

In the middle of nowhere, Skye at its best! Great room, great food and lively bar (with a pool table and good beer and whisky selection). The B&B overlooks a loch and is close to the Talisker distillery and Talisker Bay (amazing beach - must do if you’re in the area).
Friendly and hard-working owners and staff. I’d love to go back some time!

Had an amazing time here over the Easter weekend. Katie and Jonny went out of their way to make us feel welcome, including buying us drinks long after the bar was supposed to have shut. The room was lovely and clean and even included an Easter egg. Breakfast was delicious. We'll definitely come back here the next time we come to Skye!

This is a small hotel with a bar, which is open in winter at the weekends, and in the summer every day. The kitchen produces excellent local food, beautifully cooked, and in large proportions. It is without doubt, remarkable value for money. The bar has a broad selection of Scottish gins, malts, and I believe dark rums. The house wine is extremely pleasant, and given English equivalent prices, like the food, good value.

Our room had recently been upgraded with a new en suite. Very smart, and efficient. A shower designed for tall people (hoorah), meant limbo dancing was unnecessary, neither was a rain dance, as there was more than enough water pressure. Quality toiletries. Lots of white fluffy towels, a comfortable bed, and views to die for. Oh yes and and an excellent selection of teas, with real milk in a fridge outside the door (not a horrible homogenised carton in sight!)

What actually made our stay so memorable were the owners Katie and Jonny Heron. They go out of their way to make you feel at home, and do their very best to meet your needs, however eccentric! Their knowledge of the island is detailed and picking their brains can be very rewarding and help you maximise your time on the island.

Thank you. We will be back!
