We had read the bad reviews but saw some good reviews too. So we thought it would be an ok place to stay. We were wrong. Noisy doesn’t begin to describe sound during the night. We have stayed in pubs and inns before and don’t mind a bit of noise but this was like a frat party was going on in the hotel. The next day we asked for a quiet room and they did move us and this room was somewhat better. But still not great. A fire alarm went off briefly one night just to scare everyone. We had read about this in previous reviews. It’s all true.

Now for the restaurant. It’s cheap and the food is passable. They got our order wrong. That does happens. But the staff look miserable and one staff member looked on the verge of tears everytime we saw her.

Don’t stay here. It’s depressing. Run!!’

Very dated Hotel, straight back to the 1970s. Food ok, service ok but none of the Staff from UK and some problems with language barriers in Restaurant. Great views of Skye Bridge and beyond. Room just about ok but again very dated could do with a massive overhaul. Sorry not really for us.

Bad service at the reception, clean room, breakfast not more than ok. Expensive compared to what you get. Nice view of Skye bridge. Free parking. Small narrow lift, very old.. very varm room, no aircondition only window.

This place is horrible. We had to stay there for one night because there isn't a lot of accommodation choices on the Isle of Skye but if we had the option to avoid it, we would have done so.
We got there around 12:30pm, walked in to the reception, said Hello to the guy who was there and told him that we had a reservation and his greeting was "Check in is at 3pm". Incredibly rude.
So we came back later and got into our room, which was tiny, with a view on the car park and clearly looked like it hadn't been refurbished since the 70's. It was also noisy, we could hear people walking in the corridor. There was also a horrible smell of cigarette in the lobby.
Breakfast wasn't good at all, very small portions and not fresh. I ordered some scrambled eggs but I don't know if I actually got scrambled eggs on my plate as the texture was so weird. Staff was not professional at all.
Just avoid this place at all costs, it's not good value for money (£135 a night!!!) and they are not welcoming at all.

Very tired hotel, that really needs refurbishing. Rooms are very small, and absolutely not clean (the carpet should be cleaned). Dinner was ok. Service is good, but a little slow. You get what you pay for. Location is perfect for a trip to Isle of Skye.
